Rachael, could you not chase this up with your GP and through him/her the PCT?   It was my own local PCT that prevented my referral until pressure was brought.  They hate spending money on exotic cases such as ours.

Nope, tried, didnt work, my gp tried, and he failed... my local pct just DOESNT refer many a year... after this time im still 12th on the waiting list... upto 6 years.... its ironic as im such a cut and shut case stuck behind protracted ones... *sigh*

That leaves the legal route or your MP if you are a 'shut and cut' case.  There are laws that protect you against 'red tape' and every decision against you can be challenged.......worth a thought maybe?

Id rather wait tbh.... Protracted legal business and bringing myself out of obscurity? ill grin and bear it... I've been full time for 2 years with hrt for the same time, I really only need srs... and then, its not entirely full srs due to... complicating factors...

Sorry to hear there are such protracted difficulties Rachael.

Have you ever considered alternatives to the NHS? I fully understand if this may not be feasible.

Plenty of options, but for a student that was thrown out by her parents and barely keeps herself fed and sheltered, its... not an option. As for protracted difficulties? more protracted invisiblility, they diddnt speak to me for the first 3 years on the waiting list, and i had to ring and demand some timeframe to get any idea out of them...

This is Charing X you are talking about right?

It's tough being a student I know but hopefully soon you will find work and maybe your financial situation will improve.

Sorry to hear your parents did that to you, my mum disinherited me and she was far from poor.

Philip Larkin - This Be The Verse

They <not allowed> you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.

But they were ->-bleeped-<-ed up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another's throats.

Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself.
