The long-awaited Washington State Supreme Court Ruling on the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is expected Wednesday morning, July 26. The case was argued before the court in March 2005. There are three possible outcomes:

If DOMA is ruled unconstitutional, gay and lesbian couples will be allowed to marry in Washington state. Marriage licenses may be issued as early as noon Wednesday....
