First post. Woot. Kinda bumping an old-ish thread though...woops?
Savin, I adore the name Leo, but thats just me. (I preffer the shortened version over Leon anyday, too.)
As for my name, the one I've always wanted for as long as Identified myself as someone who doesn't fit my birthname (which I destest, it's far too feminine for me -Shudder-) is Lafeu (Lah-Few <-- 'Feu' Rhymes with Hugh, another name I actually like, but beside the point.) It's a little usual, but I do love it. As far as I can find, I can't find any existing meaning on it, however it is a Shakepeare name, from 'Alls well that ends well', Lord Lafeu. Hehe. It's also, for those of you who love Disney, the name of the goofy side-kick of Gaston from 'Beauty and the Beast'.
Either way, it's a name thats been around with me for a very long time (by my life length standards anyway) and eventually adapted it for myself. I love the sound of it, it's French by all that I can tell, and my surname, Lyons, can actually be French also, however I don't pronouce it that way, rather just the plain "Lions" way (Rather than "Lee-ons"). It's my family name, I've always loved that part (perhaps because it's more masculine? -Shrugs-) and take pride in that family sense.
As for my middle name, I like that inital, plus, breaks up the already "L.L". My middle name, along with my first I've also always hated with a burning passion. Not that it's the name, it just doesn't suit me. Lovely name and all, really bad choice for me. But then again my parents wouldn't have known when I popped out. LoL oh well. Anyway, another choice from Shakepeare is another name, plain this time, that I've liked; Ross. I like it but not enough to have it as my first name. I always admired the character Ross, when MacBeth was read to me/studied it in school. (I always persisted I read his parts only, I was the one how
had to act him out.

)
Lafeu Ross Lyons. To me, I like that. It's different, mainly because of Lafeu, but it's me. Been me for a long time. Plus, the Nick-names I get are not bad, they're cute actually. Laf (plain simplied version which I preffered to be called) FeuFeu, (Bunneh FeuFeu, story behind that though lol) Laffy ect.
