just came out over instant message to 2 friends. one is my best friend for the last 15 years or so who i've been trying to tell for a few months but couldn't bring up teh subject. I really thought he knew something, but he was genuinly shocked by the news and didn't understand what I was telling him at first. he came around shortly after and we are going to talk more about it tomorrow.
knowing that he might want to talk about this with someone else, and that he might feel that he is betraying me by outing me to someone else, I told him that he can feel free to tell anyone and I then went on to tell another mutual friend of ours. she took it even better! she was shocked by my pictures that I showed her and didn't expect me look the way I do. I told her that my other friend might need someone to talk to about this, and she agreed to help him through it if he needed some more help.
yay! that was a giant burden lifted. i'm hoping that it will be even easier for the next batch of friends to tell. then it's on to work. ha!
