I am a girl, and I want to be a guy. I haven't told anyone. I don't know where to start or what to do. I want to get on hormone replacement but I don't know how. How can I tell my parents? What do I do?

Hi Sweetie, Welcome to Susan's, I'm glad you found us. While I am going the other way as you, this site has a fairly large group of F2M here. Hang in there, and I'm sure there will be others that feel as you do answer your thread here, okay? It all depends who gets on line and when, but you will get answers. Play some of the games and things so you get the required number of posts needed to enter the innerboards. You will find an awful lot of information there that will help you through this also.  Hugs

Welcome to our little family. Over 1900 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another brother..   

The telling is easy, the timing is hard.  You have come to the right place, you will find a lot of the guys here a really big help.

Hi, Hellhound.

I was pretty methodical when I started coming out, but that's my nature.  First I thought a lot about what I wanted to say and how to explain it to others so that it wasn't too detailed or too weird.  After all, I had been thinking about this my whole life but it was probably new to them.  Then I would find quiet time to envision the encounter and all the positive things that would happen and their positive reactions.  If negative thoughts came up I would banish them and think about positive results.  After doing this often enough to feel comfortable with it, I set up a time to tell each person face-to-face.  I wanted to be relaxed and positive.  This was something wonderful for me and not something scary or bad.  If I felt I couldn't hold a positive attitude, I would go back to the previous step until I could.

The first person was difficult and I screwed it up a little, but all the practice and thinking about it ahead of time helped and it went far better than if I had just decided to blurt it out.  Each person became easier.

A lot of the work is inside you.  When you open up to yourself it will be easier to open up to others.  Good luck.
