Ugliest word in my opinion- "f*ggot"

It sounds horrible, like nails on a chalkboard, and its origins and uses don't help it any.

I also hate the word "terrific" because the beginning looks and sounds like terrible which totally changes the meaning of the sentence if you misread it. Also it doesn't even sound good.

I thought the question was, What is the ugliest word you know? There are other criteria that define ugly to me than just the sound of the word- I don't find transistor radios, platypusses (platypie?) or stepladders particularly repulsive or demeaning. (okay, maybe platypusses lol)

...yeah I prolly missed the point  ???

that's okay. what's the ugliest sounding word you can think of?

yeah, that's right up there with "swell".  There's just something icky about them.

It's kinda like peachy.. though I actually like that word. If someone asks "how're you doing?" one of my favorite sarcastic responses "juuuust peachy."

Now I want some peaches. *craves*

pheno-anything

pheno alone is a horrible sound, all nasal and uncomfortable.

In my personal set of rules about how to achieve a female voice, there are these "trap-words", in my understanding, the flow of the sentence is like on a line and words like...

Raw... flaw... Law... Paw... yawn... gnarl...............They are putting your pitch down automatically. Moreover, how nice is a word like Jawbreaker in the meaning if we ignore its sound...? *shiver*

Oh I thought of another word last night: Pussyfoot. Two words I never really wanted to hear together. :P

Yes, there is, it's kicking the person who kicked the cat. Or at least, taking solice in the undeniable fact that people who mistreat cats get reincarnated as mice. ;)

That being said.

Ugly word of the day for me is "hrákasmíði", Icelandic term for "poorly constructed" litterally translates to (Constructed out of spittle.).. it sounds like spitting too but the kind of spitting where the saliva dangles from the mouth and the spitter goes pftftftft to try and get rid of it..

Now that I think about it the Indonesian word - "Waria".

This is a combination of two words; "Wanita" and "Pria", meaning woman and man respectively and is used indiscriminately to describe everyone from masculine male homosexuals to feminine post-op transexuals.

Absolutely loathe it.
