While priming her political machine for a likely 2012 presidential primary run, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has fomented a scandal that threatens to further erode her reputation in the Last Frontier.

In March, Palin nominated Wayne Anthony Ross for attorney general. Ross, a colorful far-right lawyer and longtime Palin ally who sports his initials, W.A.R., on his Hummer's vanity plates, was once considered a shoo-in for confirmation. ...

That poor deluded woman actually believes she has a shot for the 2012 presidential race?

Let's hope so. Hope that she's the Pube nominee!!

That might make them permanently the party of South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, North and South Dakota, Nebraska and Wyoming. :)

Wow...not that I'm all that surprised.  I'm with Nichole!  I hope she is the nominee because there's no way in hell she'd get elected!  :P

I'm still trying to figure out why she's still making headlines. Good publicist maybe?

Cause she's a great comic relief...

She makes headlines for two reasons, one she is running and after some of the presidents we've had, we never say never, and her base in the party is pretty solid, four years is a long time and all that.  Second, the Dems see her as a perfect strawman (strawwoman?) and putting her out there all the time is just their way of saying "hey, it could have been worse."  So, she is being promoted by both sides.

She has burned a lot of bridges here in Alaska.  she should not be thinking about 2012, but rather 2010. It will be touch and go for her to get reelected, if a solid democrat is on the ticket.  Many alaskans resent the fact that she is off chasing clouds, when what she should be doing is what she was hired to do, run the state of Alaska.  the legislative session ends in a few days and she has chosen this critical time to campaign rather than help tie up the multitude of details involved in running the state. Drop and run leadership.

Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers
