does any mtf have the same problem where when you are using your femenine voice, it sometimes comes out as a whisper? i have that problem when i lower it so it doesn't sound artificial.

it's embarassing, especially when i'm nervous. it seems like it closes up at the worst times, and i have to use the other voice.

You have to relax your throat. Relax your neck. Relax your shoulders. Relax your chest. Find ways to drop tension from all those areas. My voice therapist taught me larynx massage (but you have to do that very, very carefully).
Here's what I find about compromise--
don't do it if it hurts inside,
'cause either way you're screwed,
eventually you'll find
you may as well feel good;
you may as well have some pride

Work on using your diaphragm more.

Like a singer, you need to support your voice.  Strengthening this muscle will help.

A lot of the voice thing is inflections and proper pronunciations of words.  Also the choice of wording can help.  Expressions and emotions with your speech.

That vocalist website sure is helping me, I feel light headed following those breathing steps :3

Gently put your fingertips on your throat just under the jaw. Feel the larynx in the middle. Massage very, very gently on either side of it.
