Hello all!  Earth Day has always been an important holiday to me.  I try to treat it like the start of the new year and choose a new resolution on how I can live in greater harmony with my environment.  So tell me, those wishing to participate, what is YOUR Earth Day resolution?

My resolution:  This is something I've been meaning to do for a while now, but I intend to make plans each week for shopping so that I can go once a week rather than running to the grocery store repeatedly whenever I need (or crave) something.
Ill no longer be defined by my condition. From now on, I'm just, Kate.

I will try to not be so farty. Ass to not contribute to global worming  But seriously, what are you doing for Earth day? I already ride a bike nearly everywhere. That's partly because I like riding bikes and partly because I am afraid to drive my vandalized car  :P

I still do everything that I do, but don't call it earth day resolutions. I'm currently staying in my city, and let me tell you It's alot easier being green here!
Public transport, walking everywhere, stuff to do outside, vegetarian restaurants all over. It's marvelous!

Just keep on keeping on.  We try to recycle everything from the clubs that we can, we dispose of the rest correctly. I bike everywhere I don't walk or take a bus to, I try to live simply so others can simply live.   Been at that for a while.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Just keep doing what I do,like the rest, continue to recycle, compost, ride bikes and  now that the weather is better I have started hanging my laundry out and am getting ready to start my vegetable garden for this year. I am going down to my kids school to work in the edible garden on our schools Earth Day, am on the committee for the garden and will continue to be. i think it's more about what we do everyday instead of just on that one day.

I completely agree with this.  That is why I don't like to treat Earth Day as a single day to do something good for the planet, but rather a day to make decisions on new everyday things I will start doing from that day forward.

BTW, I'm impressed with how many people already are doing things regularly. ;)  Excellent work.

I don't have any resolutions but I will continue to seek alternative sources of energy. I attended the  first Earth Day festivities here in 1970. There was a lot of useful information and ideas presented. Today there's even more information and resources available.

One thing I would love to see is poorer countries do what they can to clean up their environment. Clean drinking water is one great need in parts of Africa.
