Hey everybody, just wondering, how many months were you on T when your "dicklet" stopped growing? I have been on T since late May '08 and it seems like mine stopped growing at around six months. I'm worried that that's it but I have heard from some people that they've had growth spurts even after years of being on T.

Mister

What a horrible thing to call it.

You haven't heard that term before? It's pretty common. And I wasn't asking what you thought of the word.

I have.  and I've told everyone I've heard use it that I think it's horrible and disrespectful.

Also, your very first post is asking a question about a trans person's genitals?  sorry, but you're not likely to get many responses from those of us who have been on T for a while (which would be about a half dozen or so) without establishing any kind of rapport.  To me, that indicates a troll.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm entitled to use whatever words I wish just as you are entitled to dislike them.

Not so much around here.  Check the TOS before you start making those kinds of statements.

Um, "dicklet" does not constitute "foul or obscene language." It is a commonly used term within the FTM community. There are many terms that some people find offensive. Some people find the words "cock" and "pussy" foul and obscene and yet they appear on the message boards. I know people who are offended by the terms FTM and MTF because they suggest that trans people are different from other men and women. Does that mean that these terms should not be used on the boards? No. It's a personal preference, and nobody is making you use any word that you dislike.

Hey, nice to meet you trnsboy. Off to a good start  ;)
Feel free to write an introduction in our introductions section.

Mister is right in that we do have some terms of service rules for this site, one in particular is around language.

I don't think dicklet itself would be disallowed, but if someone finds it distasteful just accept they can say they don't like it (what would you prefer Mister?, actually what would all you guys prefer.. ???).

If you don't like the term, do you have a better one?  This seems to be the appropriate term, according to the Urban Dictionary:

1.  dicklet  38 up, 5 down
1: an unusually small penis
2: the natural phallus of a female-to-male transexual, as enlarged to the proportions of a small penis by hormones and possibly metaoidioplasty (but not phalloplasty)

38 votes in favor and 5 against is a pretty big margain.
It's easier to change your sex and gender in Iran, than it is in the United States.  Way easier.

Please read my novel, Dragonfly and the Pack of Three, available on Amazon - and encourage your local library to buy it too! We need realistic portrayals of trans people in literature, for all our sakes

It's my penis.  my dick.  my cock.  it isn't lesser or other than a penis.

Because Urban Dictionary is always polite and accurate.  It also includes MTFs in the definitions of Trap, ->-bleeped-<- and Chick With A Dick, so i guess those are now also fair play.

Well, it kinda is "other" than a penis, since you don't pee through it.

You have the right to use language as you see fit.  You have the right to tell others that their use of language offends you.  But you don't really have the right to tell other people how they have to use language, because that contradicts their right to use language as they see fit.  Deliberate hate speech is an exception, but trnsboi's use of language was clearly not hate speech.

I don't care if you call it a dicklet or a chicklet or a case of beer.  I just find it offensive when people try to control other people's use of language, when that use of language is not deliberately meant to offend.

Not the way I understand human anatomy, you don't.  If I'm wrong, you have my apologies.

The "-let" suffix implies that it's small, not that it's inferior. Your average trans penis is a lot smaller than your average bio penis. I don't see why that is offensive.

Thanks for all of you who are sticking up for my right of free speech  :) Now, is there anyone who can answer the original question?

Okay, this is getting absolutely ridiculous. My CLITORIS is about 1 1/2 inches long after 10 months on T. It doesn't seem to be growing anymore.

I call it a clit, as that's the technical term. But I don't begrudge anyone who refers to it differently.

Thanks for answering Seb. Some guys wouldn't talk about their size and I appreciate your answering the question. :) Hopefully the thread can stay on topic and not continue with bickering about terminology.

Can't believe you lot are on here comparing penis sizes!

And then men complain about being stereotyped! ;)
