I got a letter today from genser identity clinic. and they sent me a letter basicley saying i will have to fill in a form (witch i have) and send that off and also get a approval from My (PCT) this isnt the thing im worried about, its more how will i get there when this is all done and i get referred, i will have to travil to london. altho it isnt fare about 45 min drive maybe a lil longer on road not train. The thing is i have no job right now after my mum being in hosp im now a carerer for a while. and i dont drive. also my mum has just lost her car and she prob wouldnt drive me as she cant stand london. the only way i can think of getting there is train, and yeh thats ok but costs and everthink. it says on the letter if i dont tent appiontments it could effect things, (witch makes sence i guess) i dunno how to get around this.

Sounds to me like the train is the best option.
Yeah, it costs money, but so does travelling by car. Gas isn't cheap either.

Better make sure to save some cash for the travelling, it stands to reason that not attending the appointments will affect your transitional journey with the clinic. If they can't meet you, they will never be able to make sure that you are a good candidate for the treatment.

Hazard, if you're on benefits (which I assume you are, since you don't have a job) you can claim back the costs involved in attending medical appointments. I'm not exactly sure how it works, as it doesn't apply to me, but I think that when you attend your appointment you ask them for a form, and then take it into the main hospital along with the proof of how much your journey cost, and they'll refund you cash there and then. I'm not 100% sure that's correct - though I am 100% sure that you can claim travel expenses back - but you could find out for sure by calling the number on your letter. The admin staff at Charing Cross are really helpful, and I'm sure they'll be happy to answer your questions.
