Hello Everyone!
I must say that I am very happy to have found this wonderful online community! I look forward to learning & sharing with everyone.
A little about me, I am in my early 50's, married, and I live in Lenox, MA. My story is not new to anyone, my entire life has alkways been about hiding the woman that I am in an effort to "fit in" with societies expectations (and my parents) about the role of a male. My regret is that it has taken over 50 years to begin my transition! But, I am looking forward to an exciting new life and I am enjoying the journey!
I have made wonderful progress with my therapist (who I adore!) over the past 8 months and I look forward to continuing to explore who Jen really is!
I was bad with my trsansition in the beginning, I started myself on a hormone therapy by purchasing from an internet pharmacy without the guidance of an endo. I did that for about 3 months and then I said enough of this I felt that I really needed to continue my treatments with an endo that could monitor my levels.
I am so grateful too, because in a very short period of time (with im injections & spiro) I have begun to see excellent results! My breast's are developing nicely and my skin has become fantastic (yeh!). So I am thrilled so far!
My wife has been supportive so far, and she claims that she will never leave me! I must be blessed because she is so wonderful to still be in love with me and is looking forward to growing old together.
Well, I have rambled enough so I will say good bye for now. I am grateful that this community is here, and I do hope to actively participate in discussions!
Hugs to all

Hi Jennifer,
I have talked to you before, welcome to Susan's. As Steph said there is a lot of information here on Susan's and if you can't find it I know someone might know where to find the answer.
I to started my transition late. I began to realize who I am and that it was possible and there were others in my late 40's. My marriage is intack too. We have been married for 37 years and she told me that a little change in gender will not get rid of her. She has told me that we are attached at the hip. I told her that I guess I'm stuck with you for another 50 years. LOL She is my best friend.
  Hope you have fun here.
Love Sheila

Hi Jennifer,
I am in my mid 50's, married, too. With 3 sons and 4 grandkids I will never say that I wasted my earlier year pretenting to be a male.
It was last fall that I boke out of my own prison and now as Jilleann; I'm learning to live life all over again.
I'm gald that you have a very supportive wife. Make sure you remind her howwonderful she is. My wife is not very supportive and does not want to see me dressed as Jillieann. It has real slowed down my transition because I don't want to lose her.

It good to meet you Jenn. Looking forward to more of your postings.
:)

Welcome, Jennifer.  Lots of late bloomers here.

Robyn, whose week at home is coming to an end.
