Today I participated in a marathon event. It was a day after rain. A little bit chilly in the morning, but sunshine and hot in the afternoon.

It is always tricky in choosing a bathroom. Just before running, I should stop at bathroom. I found one located next to the small restaurant in a building. Fortunately the bathroom itself was for both man and woman, but there were two partitions in the same room: one for men, and the other for women.

I saw a young woman washing her hands after fishing her job. She wore a red-striped sports bra, and looked young at her 20s. Her height was about 5 feet 6 inch with  less than 20-inch waist, as I guess. Tanned skin. She was so much noticeable and adorable, as a few women wear sports bra here in my country. I envied her slim waist and wearing sports bra. Even if it were not chilly, I would be afraid of wearing it in public.

She went out and I entered the same for women. When I came out after finishing my private job, I saw her stand in the entrance of the building. She looked back at me, probably studied my legs. I know that many men and women study my body shape. Even some young and beautiful women from foreign countries studied me (usually they are studied by people here, as Korea is so much homogeneous in ethnos, but even they do study me).

She was so much attractive to me. My self-consolation is that, at least, I am taller than her, and probably have better legs. However, decisively and fatally, she is a genuine woman whereas I am an imitation one. I can not be compared with her. Sigh...

Thanks, Miniar and Feever.

So, today morning I chose a sports bra I purchased about 5 years ago at $1 from Wal-mart. I inserted a small nude bra under it. I am not quite sure how my chest is noticeable, but I am wearing it under my striped tee-shirt at my workplace. It's May, but unusually cool weather, perfect for wearing sports bra.

Probably this could solace my heart inflicted yesterday

I've been wearing sports bras almost daily for quite some time. Home and work. The right kinds can be quite comfortable. Especially when your entire chest is sore. They sure help when going down stairs. Target has Champion and the Mediums do quite well.

Not good for running, but for everything else they do nicely

Despite my flat chest, I used to wear a similar item for outdoor exercise when I was in the U.S.

People usually did not notice my flat chest. One guy in a jeep passing me gave a wolf whistle. Another young stranger tried to talk with me, but I just ran away, ignoring him.

And, the one I am wearing now is also from Wal-mart at $1.00 + plus tax.

Barbie:

Why on earth would you think that you are any less of a woman than she is?  You are hardly "imitation"!

She was born with a different body, that's all.  And if anything she has had an easier path to follow than you.

Be proud of who you are!

I don't mean to spank you, but don't discriminate against yourself.  You are female where it counts.  On the inside!

So, how did you do in the marathon?

Sandy,

Thanks.

Sometimes people jokingly comment that I look more feminine than my wife. She also has a slim figure considering her age, but does not exercise so much. And moreover, she seems to like wearing boyish clothes. But she replies to those comments like "whatever he looks like, he is anyway a man, and period."

Marathon has become the most popular sports in my country. I have enjoyed marathon during the past 3 years. Just completed a full-course once about 2 years ago. A lot of half-courses.

This time, it was a just 10-km course, because I had to run representing my team at workplace, and the other excellent runner ran for half-course. 10-km running is what I do at least twice per week, and I just enjoyed it mixing with all kids of people.

And some young guys chase me, trying to overtake me. Sometimes I fear that some heavy guys would break down from difficulty in breathing while trying to exceed me. In this case, other nearby people used to warn them not to run so fast.

Nearly all of ->-bleeped-<-s recognize me as a young woman at 20's, but once they see my front, they tend to be surprised and perplexed. First, mostly I attach a number plate for men (usually pink is for women, and other colors are for men). Second, my flat chest. Third, my masculine face, especially when I wear sunglasses.

To avoid this, sometimes I attach a plate for my female colleague, and wearing A-cup bra. For face, there is not so many option, because sweat clears away makeup.

My colleagues at my workplace, who usually run with me, always consider me as a man and are not willing to acknowledge my feminity, but confess that they were surprised at so many people behind me chatting or shouting how much feminine I look. But usually I can not hear such comments and shouts behind me, but I was especially glad when one male colleague told me in a year that a woman in a restaurant exclaimed at me like "how could she be so beautiful!". He has been a friend of me during the past 25 years, and never imagined I could look like a woman. I was always a tough guy to him.
