Went to him and wish I had not. Recommend saving for another surgeon, if you can. That said I know of others who did not have issues and had good results.
I ended up with a usable amount of depth (~5.5"), no shrinkage even though a skin graft was used, and the result looks pretty good to the naked eye. His personal nurses who visit you are wonderful.
That said the hospital nurses are horrendous and have no idea what is and is not allowed post op and speak next to no English. If they think the room is too cold they actually steal the temp controls so you cannot change it. The beds that are used are absolutely horrible and the food is better in toilet than the stomach.
Make sure to have a friend with you. The hospital nurses will turn around and walk out on you and not answer when you hit the call button. My experience was horrible and would have been worse if I did not have someone there for me. They do not need to be there 24/7 but enough to make sure that you are being treated ok.
Do not expect to see Dr C right after the surgery. My first post op communication was a cell phone call (when he told me that I would be lucky to have 4" of depth) and then he stopped in twice during the week.
If leaving from the States do not book through Delta Airlines at all. Avoid a travel agency called Vayama at all costs and absolutely make sure that Hong Kong Express is not any of the carriers.
I have little sensation down below. At first the sensation was awesome and I was very happy. It has diminished since then and when I pinged him about it I got a reply that basically said that hopefully it will return. My other docs have no idea why and hope that he is right.
There is a language barrier. I had complications during my surgery. To this day I have absolutely no clue what they were even though I asked. The reply I got was that it was very hard to work on me.
I do have a large bone structure and was about 25 pounds overweight before the surgery but in good health otherwise (clean blood work, physically active, etc, etc).
YMMV.
