Sometimes huge car chases will keep a guy's attention too.

However, I went through a phase of watching nothing but Meg Ryan chick flicks... because I had a crush on Meg Ryan.

Just the sad truth.

I went through a similar phase with Angelina Jolie.

Let's see... my phases have included Meg Ryan, Angelina Jolie, Alicia Silverstone, Keira Knightley (that one's still in effect), Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, and a host of other beautiful women. It's a bad habit, but someone's got to keep those beautiful ladies in business.

Oh, and my tastes aren't simply confined to movies with car chases, hot chicks, and explosions... I also like horror  8)

Yeah my friend says she keeps her husband quiet by handing him a beer and giving him something naked to watch on TV.

Works for me :)

My ex rented a movie once that had been touted by women friends as a great movie. At the end of it, she was in agreement. I thought that there were not enough car chases. Even one would have improved the movie imo.

I've wondered for most of my years why I LOVED "chick flicks" and hated all the "Rambo" like movies.  So ... now I know.  It now "fits" like so many things from my past that now fall into place.  My favorites?  On top is "What Dreams May Come" followed closely by the Cage/Ryan movie "City of Angels".

IMHO, you can keep all that fighting and crashing of cars!

*chortle* What an odd mix we are.

Amusingly movies tend to be one of the things where I wonder what in tarnation the girls are thinking. *chortle*

All I can say is never judge a girl by what she watches. Me myself and I happen to like the bloodier movies. I HATE movies that try and manipulate my emotions, and I doubly HATE sad movies.. *shrug* I much prefer the blood-n-guts type movies, but I am picky on which granted. *shrug* Aliens is one of my favorites, and I'll watch some of the worst chop-chop's if I happen to like one of the characters. (Sorry girl with a sword and knows how to use it is just *dreamy sigh*, lol)

Now oddly the guy oriented movies where you have too much plot typically with the emphasis of one group being mean to another group and really grinding it in (usually the less then pleasant loss of characters the lead likes, etc.) I do not care for (See above under manipulation of emotions). *shrug* I am a weird one :P "Commando" anyone ?

Now amusingly what is on most around here is either the crime dramas (CSI which I don't pay much attention to; Although NCSI I think it is I was starting to like. An given that I had to find the name of the show by the name of the character "Abby" (played by Pauley Perrette by the way) I suppose that is sort of a giveaway, lol.), to Forensic Files (certainly gives a girl faith in humanity. *snort*) and Dr. G: Medical Examiner (Kind of puts things into perspective), Blue's Clue's (Blue is just CUTE ;) So is Steve ;) ), or some vintage of Power Rangers (don't laugh :P -- SPD is so far my favorite, lol -- hay violence, cute characters, no one dies, good guy's always win, and heck, even giant robots and stuff. Hard to go wrong! ;) *GIGGLES* )

Um, yes anyway... (=
