This is by no means boasting. More regreting.

We have the most poisinous snakes, spiders, jelly fish, octopus and conch shells.
At my last house we would regularly have brown snakes getting in the house, venom; fatal if not given anti-venom. Red back spiders, lethal to kids. Major pain to a fit adult. Funnel webs, fatal to kids if no anti-venom given. A very painful and sick time for an adult.

We just check all the time. And never sit on the Dunny without checking it

I am very happy i live where i live than!! To scary for me.I have to say though Its really just the LAST thing i expected to see in my apartment. Here i was worrying about mice or even bugs no and snake has to wander in. Everyone i told was just so surprised it just doesn't happen.

Well Cali has rattlesnakes, big assed ones - mostly Diamondbacks - as a matter of fact, they range the entire state.   Black Widow spiders, Wolf spiders, Brown spiders and a couple of species of Tarantula big enough to take on small pets. Though the tarantula are not poisonous, the bite is very painful. They are large enough, and move fast enough that I've seen them scare people close to death.  Most people are not used to a spider, hairy as all get out and as big as their hand.

We have Scorpions too, so shake out your shoes when you go camping in the desert.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

It is a cute snake  :) But I like reptiles. I use to have a necklace with rattle snake rattles on it

The thing one must most look out for where I'm at are Hobo spiders. I got bit by one and my arm swelled up to twice the size and I had to take antibiotics for two weeks  :P

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

phantom_heart, it was just a joke. But i do really like snakes. They are one of the most misunderstanding animals in the world. They belong to a Goddess. They are soft, smart and usefull (if you have rats or mice in your house).

In many cultures the snake was revered as holy. It was a sign of the rebirth of life. On the island Malta there are still preserved ruins of temples where once statues of the goddess stood who held snakes in her hands. Nevertheless, you certainly know the story of the garden of Eden. The snake was originally a symbol of the matriarchal cultures. Which was here, typically patriarchy became to be a devil. Just, like Eve, as a archetype of the woman. Here some links to it:
