I have too noticed this more respect thing. People do not anymore say negative things directly to me.

I will be very happy once that starts to happen..  As of now people mostly see me as male (strangers) they just think I'm a 9th grader (which I am not)

Yeah of course, the "barrier" between guys and girls is so much different from the male perspective. As a girl, it's socially acceptable to talk to both guys and girls, but when a guy talks to a girl a lot, either he likes her or can be labeled as a player. Guys call other guys dude/bro/man/etc those manlyman throwaround terms and they don't do that so much with girls, even the tomboy ones. I have to treat girls a little more respectfully, as in I'm usually a pretty openly physical person, if someone lets me act boyfriendly and we're both single, I'll go right ahead. But that's looked down upon when you're a guy, so I've had to back off more. That and I've long since got the "okay" to be in the "boys club." You know, sit around with all the guys, kick back, down a couple drinks, talk girls and last night's NBA game, throw around the fistbumps and body slams. It's a lot more laidback.
