It depends on the person. Some people feel it before others, and some people grow more than others and can grow for a long time after. 3 years into HRT my breasts really hurt badly, still, and are still growing! Yet, I know people who haven't much growth after two years. *shrugs* genetics, age, and a bunch of other factors come into play. And, believe it or not, I've seen in some cases where younger doesn't always mean faster or bigger breasts -- I've seen the opposite in some cases!  Weight and breast size can also come into play, I know bigger women on HRT seem to get pretty big breasts sometimes, and really skinny women don't get that much.

Anyway, congrats on your new growths.

Hi, Maddie,

I started HRT when I was 51 years old and I had breast buds within the first six weeks.  The effects of estrogen in HRT can be quite individualized.

This link might be of help.

I was 54 when I started HRT, I am now 63. I had those lumps of tissue under my nipples like some of you describe after four weeks on HRT. It took four years of slow gradual growth to have 36B cups which I am happy with because it is closely enough proportional to my 5'3" 125lbs body size, even got hip distribution from the deal.

This provokes a bit of curiosity on my part:

I know that it is true that fat cells do not go away when you diet, just shrink.

I assume that HRT stimulates those same cells in a female pattern instead of a male one

if the former is true...the fact that I have been badly overweight and have "moobs" means there will still be fat cells aplenty there even after I lose the excess weight...

soooo....

Would that imply I'll have better breast growth on HRT because there is so much "raw material" to work with?

(genetics aside, I have netiehr dramatic good news or bad on that front)
Disclaimer: due to serious injury, most of my posts are made via Dragon Dictation which sometimes butchers grammar and mis-hears my words. I'm also too lazy to closely proof-read which means some of my comments will seem strange.
