Actually I doubt they would do anything. They get paid to be 'shocking' and I guess this time they did their job a bit too well. But I doubt they 'are' in real life anything like their radio personalities, any more than David Caruso is really a CSI cop, or a scientist, or anything but a very bad actor.
But I would never listen to commercial corporate media at any rate, the only radio I listen to here is KPFA which I'm sure is a bit too left wing for most people here with shows like Democracy Now!, Capitalism and Its Discontents, Guns and Butter (described as: investigating the relationships among capitalism, militarism and politics. Maintaining a radical perspective in the aftermath of the September 11th attacks, "Guns & Butter: The Economics of Politics" reports on who wins and who loses when the economic resources of civil society are diverted toward global corporatization, war, and the furtherance of a national security state.) Uprising Radio, Behind the News, and other left wing fare.
What people do, or say on commercial corporate radio, propaganda for sheep at best does not ever concern me, and what happens to people who listen to is does not concern me either.
You get what you pay for after all, and if Bank of America is sponsoring your listening, your getting their party line. You think what they want you to think, that they toss you a bone now and again, well, good dog. Now roll over and go back to playing dead.
