I'm sick of wearing the Underworks binder I've had for the past year... even though I've lost quite a bit of weight and my belly no longer protrudes when I'm not binding, the binder pushes all the weight around my middle to the front so I still look like I have an unsightly beer belly. I remembered someone having said something about the Frog Bra before and its use for binding, but I'm wondering if anyone's actually used it, and what your experience was. I'd love to just bind my chest, but I'm not sure if it'd be sufficient. It's been a long time since I've worn a bra, but I think at this point I'd be about a 36, between B and C. If anyone has any idea of whether the Frog Bra might work for me, please let me know.

What binder were you using, if you don't mind me asking?  I'm trying to avoid the whole binder-belly thing.

I was checking Underworks site a day or two back and it seems they have a binder that does chest only now (but looks like a singlet, not a sports bra). Maybe something like that would rectify the issue?

I assume you're talking about the tritop... I had awful problems when I bought the double-front compression binder, which isn't even as strong as the tritop, so I'm staying away from the tritop myself. My understanding is that it's best for people with really large chests.

What I've been using is the microfiber compression T... it's supposed to be their strongest T, and it's comfortable enough, though it kills my shoulders, so I'm also trying to get away from that detriment. I get the feeling that any binder that extends the length of your torso and is tight enough to flatten breasts will make your belly jut out. I had the same thing when I was wearing the cotton concealer muscle T.

I was talking about the "New! Extreme Chest Concealer FTM Chest Binder" (3rd binder down) that claims "Extreme! Chest Only Compression! Relaxed Mid-Section!" (Exclamation!).

Interesting.  See, I like the double-front in part because it holds my gut in.  But then, I'm quite a bit overweight, so that might make a difference.  Frog bra is not an option for me, so I'm afraid I can't comment on it.  Sorry.

What I do is I fold my compression T double.. That is, I pull the bottom edge up over my chest to get double compression where I need it, and I keep it in place with a single safety pin in the front.
No belly compression for me

t-kingdom are possibly better binders for you since your not particularly large-chested. I use the crop-top sized one that zips down the middle. Its comfy as

the frog bra's pretty awesome. I used to use one before i realized that wearing the tightest, most movement-restricting thing i could find was "binding."

they're a little pricey, but worth it.

I'm wearing one right now.

Here's my experience with it. I'm a B, so it does bind more than a normal bra or sports bra but it's not passable. I tried wearing it with an Underworks binder but because of how the Frog Bra is shaped on top it just made everything jut out. It's weird because the binder by itself does better than the Frog Bra/binder combo. So, I just wear my Frog Bra around the house when I'm not going out to give my chest a break.

Okay, so I checked out the T-Kingdom one, and while it's a little pricey, I can swing it if it's worth it. How do you do the sizing on it, though? I realize they have a size chart, but when I bought my Underworks binders before, I took my measurements, then bought the size below what it told me, and it worked perfectly. Would I need to do the same thing with the T-Kingdom one? Seeing as it's got to be shipped from Taiwan, I don't exactly want to have to exchange it.

Radar, your experience with the Frog Bra is what I'm afraid of... that I'd get it, hoping it would flatten my chest, but I'd be dissatisfied. I'm accustomed to having my chest almost entirely flat with the Underworks binder, though since my weight loss it's been tougher and tougher to keep them bound entirely.

Miniar... can you still breathe well with your binder doubled? I used to have horrible trouble breathing when I first started binding... though that was with a neoprene waist slimmer that was likely pulled way too tight, but I imagine incredibly tight compression would do the same.

My measurements meant that I should use a Large sized binder from t-kingdom but have found that Medium works best. So I would assume for you, small or extra-small

Sebastien, yes, don't rely on the Frog Bra for complete binding. Like I said, I just wear mine around the house to take a break from binding.
