Then I mentioned FFS and he told me I don't need it. We'll see. He did say I needed to work on the voice though, something I know all too well.
He's right, you don't need FFS. You're a lovely lady. Don't know about the voice thing. I rather like a deep voice on a woman. Yeah, I know, you girls don't want to hear that. :D

Thanks Nero!  How kind of you!  As for the voice, maybe we should meet and if we hit it off I could stop working on the voice. ;)
When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

Julie,

Just practice by recording yourself say something.  I worked on mine with my telephone answering machine.  You can find a spot where it will work.  My femme voice is only slightly different than the old voice.  Inflections make a big difference.  Lot's of women have low voices, it's just the presentation is different.

Hey Beck,

FFS is an acronym for Facial Feminization Surgery.  It is a series of procedures to change the bone structure and tissues of the face to make it appear more like a genetic female.  Some people need all of them. Some people only need a few of them and there is a very lucky bunch that does not need it at all.

These include shaving the bone of the browline so it is more flat, like a female, shaving the jaw to make it less square and to make a pointy chin, narrowing the nose, cheekbone inplants, etc. etc.. There are lots of websites of plastic surgeons that show the before and after of these procedures and others advertisements that make everyone think they need all of them.  Most of the TS I see, I would not say they need it.  However, each person has their own idea of how they want to present, so in the end it's a very personal decision.

Love always,
Elizabeth
