Buying my own bra

Okay, I usually buy my own bras at Wal-Mart and use the self-checkout thinger. Most of the time, the employee monitoring the self-checkout stations is too bored to notice what I'm doing. But today I had something a bit heavier (a box of propel) so I decided to use the line for the first time. I had just come back from class and was in my "male" persona, but the cashier didn't ask me what that was for or why I was buying it!

What a boost of confidence that was. It's too bad all the bras are so pricey. I got one today that was like ten bucks.  :P

Most of that apprehension that we have all felt is mostly for nothing. People just don't care and for the most part don't care.
I've have never been hassled when lingerie. I think someone asked once, "are you sure of the fit?. Good for you !
Yes there is really bigender people

I might try that once I start HRT, but so far I haven't.  :icon_tetter:

I have found that people at those big places(Target, Walmart, etc...) really just do not care at all. They see hundreds of customers a day and to be honest, probably even a few other guys buying lingerie for whatever reason.

I can't imagine how mind dulling such an activity as checking out merch in a bar-code world would be.  You almost owe them some entertainment just for making them go through that.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I like to find lines with young women as cashiers.  I find that they generally dont care what I am buying, as they are probably too wrapped up in their own personal world to worry about mine.

Checking out in a line with a male cashier is an absolute NO NO!  I wont do it.

I have bought everything from lingerie, shoes, to makeup and a wedding dress!  Strangely, I have never bought a wig.  I should do that.

You know, I've worked retail before and I've never had that experience.

My best guess is they just go through some kind of training that tells them not to be judgmental so the customer will want to return and won't feel irritated.

Try the net.  They have a web site.  Just Google.

The net is good for Fredericks, but I just got a great deal on a corset, because I went to the store.

I got this for $38.00 at the store, but it is $58.00 on the web.

I just wish I looked like that in it.

Who doesn't.  Even to come close in the figure part.  ;D

Eh...it just seems like an awful lot to pay for a bra. I guess for now I'll stick to Wal-Mart until I actually have some breasts to use it with.

I've also worked retail before, and I've never had any training telling me to be 'sensitive' to the customers. Unfortunately dear, I just don't think most retail associates care what you buy. I've actually had a few who made comments on what I bought. One mentioned that the pair of shoes I was buying was really pretty  :D, and another associate (in a different store) mentioned that she wore the same kind of bra and she liked it. I even had a few recommendations!  :o

I am so totally blessed to actually come somewhat close. I'm sure that once I get through surgery, I'll be able to look at least half that good! (well, at least the neck down  :-\)
