    I have pulled the story about Rachel Roo as the story can't be verified. Things just didn't add up. This morning we traced the IP and there is no story in the local paper in that town. A story of this nature would be in the public domain. Roo has been a staff member here for a year and has never made up stories before. " It appears to be a hoax and one that is in very poor taste and hurting the trans community heavily in a time when we are fighting very hard to be understood."

I say we bury these people alive see how they like it *fumes* if anyone touches Adrianna i'll kill them. She's MINE and she will always be safe ALWAYS. No one would be safe if someone hurt her that way. Screw everything screw letting the law handle it if it was Adrianna there wouldn't be a place on earth the person or people who did it would be safe from me.

I haven't been this angry/sad for a very long time. It makes me scared for Adrianna.

We were just talking about this in chat. Although I hate to sound like the unbelieving person who has a tendency to just dismiss things until I find some kind of "proof," stories like this are sensational. It hits us at a gut level. People have weird reasons for making up stories. Post-op, 18 year old moderator is definitely possible. A murder as sensational as that one not getting one single piece of major media coverage, of no one from that town leaking anything at all to the press, is a little unlikely. I say we let a few days or weeks pass, reserve the right to be angry, but remember that this story originated from an online chat room and has not been validated by anyone with provable facts. If it's true, how absolutely horrible and completely unjust; we should be having vigils all over the world. If it is not true, what a horrible disservice to that website for not fact-checking.

I know when we get news in our chat, our site mod is very extensive about checking facts before publishing things. I really hope this is a hoax so that someone didn't die like that. I think we'll see in time what really happened. Meghan

Yes in a way I hope it is a hoax but people that lie about stuff like this are not helping anyone
