When I was a kid we used to go camping all the time, we would hit the Guadalupe Mountians, and go to Ft. Davis and visit Mc Donald observetory.........  Or we would go to ohio to visit my moms family.

Now I dont vacation, I tour... which means I have the same bunch of guys with me every time, stinking of road sweat, getting drunk, and going to the same places..... So I dont really consider it a vacation.

Last time I had a real vacation was when I was 16 in the summer of 97.... it got cut short because my grandmother (dads side) passed away and we had to head back home for the funeral and all that 'fun' stuff.

Im hopeing to make my trip to Guadalahara <sp?> next year my first real vacation of my adult life and in 10 years :D   (yeah I have alterior motives but hey that dosnt mean I cant enjoy myself..... Right?)

MAUI!!!!!!!

And we'll be there for 2 months next time (Dec/Jan).  17 days in a cabin in North Kihei.  Two weeks in our little time share in Honohowai, and a month in a Kihei condo.  I'm sure we'll have some dinners with a trans couple we met last January in Lahaina.

2nd choice: A cruise to anywhere.  Next up is the Panama Canal next April.

The rewards for having been called out of retirement at six figures.

E komo mai.
Aloha, my ohana

... Vacations are for rich people....

No, vacations are for people who can budget.  Although I make enough money, I have trouble with budgeting and that's the reason I rarely take vacations.  The ones I have taken have been road trips for the most part.  It's always fun to just do something different.

You don't have to have money to have a vacation. You have to have a little imagination going for you. I remember as a kid, I would set up our tent in the back yard, during Summer time, and that would be where I lived. I loved it. I camped out for the whole summer. Would build a fire in an old broken BBQ and cook my dinner. My brother and I would eat out there. He was 7 years younger than me and that is where we lived. Any kid could do that now or in fact any one person could do that. No money there and its fun. Trips on a bicycle or if you can't do that a little drive every once in a while. We have a river close to us and we can drive down to the mall and park and go for a walk down the river and picnic by the river. We go over to the coast, now we spend a lot of money doing it, but it can be done for next to nothing if we didn't have the funds to do it. Just use your imagination a little. Be a kid again. That is what it all about.
