I am a 56 year old Transgender MtF living my life full time as the woman I am on the inside.I am leaning more to being TS and am in therapy with a Gender Therapist and looking forward to starting hormones soon.I am married to a wonderful lady who also will be entering therapy as she learns to cope with my life choice.What the future holds for us is uncertain.I just know what I have to do for me;I have to be the woman I am.
I found out about this forum from a friend of mine,Julie Marie and found out about the wealth of information available here.I look forward to learning more about myself and others who are on our journey.

Thank you for sharing you TS status and the information on your wonderful wife. I have to say this for I beleive it with all my heart. I'm S.O. (GG) to a wonderful partner, Leah. She is abit farther in our journey.

I believe most of what has helped with my understanding and being able to cope with Leah's Life Choice is this website! It really helps being able to read all the posts of other M2F individuals and read all the information in the Wiki links and then the support I have found from other S.O. here too has been unmeasureable. Please do share this site with you Precius Wife.

I have read the line "I don't know what's in store for us." which is similar to your about your future. May I say this, Nobody does! It doesn't matter what new issues are being introduced into your lives or at what point. Nobody know what is in store for them really.What does matter is that you continue to communicate more and more about everything either of you is feeling. If your communication channels aren't wide open now then get them there and keep them there. It's is truly the only way to be sure your love stays flowing for each other.

Leah and I are in our 50's also. We have been married 25 years this past June. You know it's really kind of different because there has never been a time when I was going to leave because of the issues being TS brings with it. But there once once another issue with a mother in law that was threatening to do our marriage in. Our family is grown and away from home and have homes of their own.

There are many here will to help and we need each other if we are to make it through this journey to a successful end with out leaving behind a dear spouse. Welcome and enjoy the humor and use the knowledge you gain here to make your life as perfect as it can be. I could also meet and visit with your wife in Chat for S.O. if she likes just personal message me or email me which ever she prefers.

Wow!  Full time and before hormones!  My hat's wig's(?) off to you! 

My wife and I have been attending sessions with our gender therapist together.  I find that it helps us a great deal.  I'll be having my first appointment with an endo this September so I'm not on hormones yet either.  I'm very pleased that you took Julie's suggestion that you visit us.  This site is jammed with information and real support from the wonderful people who frequent the place.  I glad you decided join us and I hope to read more from you in the near and far future.
