Legalizing Deception: Why "Gender Identity" Should Not be Added to Anti-discrimination Legislation

June 25th, 2009 by Dale O'Leary

Certain national and international groups are pushing for the addition of "gender identity" and "gender expression" to anti-discrimination laws. According to activists, gender identity is defined as: "An individual's self–perception or inner sense of being a man, a male, a woman, a female, both, neither, butch, femme, two-spirit, bigender, or another configuration of gender. Gender identity often matches the gender typically associated with the person's anatomy but sometimes does not" and gender expression refers to: "Any combination of how someone outwardly presents external characteristics behaviors that are socially defined as masculine or feminine, including dress, mannerisms speech patterns and social interactions."[1]

Lies, half truths and out and out bigotry.  What would you expect for the Catholics, leaders in the hate mongering.  Next will be blacks, Hispanics, Jews.  Oh wait they already did those.

*sigh*  :eusa_wall:

I can't say I'm surprised, but this is just one more example of what's wrong with the Church.

QuoteViolent acts can never be condoned, but if such legislation is passed those who have been deceived will be denied any legal recourse and the deceivers will be portrayed as victims.

geez what legal recourse do they have anyways? lying/omitting information to get laid is against the law now?

QuoteAs children they may have been wounded, traumatized, abused, or rejected.

Proof this article is wrong: I was not wounded, traumatized, abused, or rejected as a child. Yet I am a transexual... I know it says 'may have been,' but it gives the idea that we all were.

QuoteConfused children with G(S)ID who need treatment are already being pushed down the path to surgical mutilation.

If I were forced to live as a girl for the rest of my life, I'd probably kill myself. That, or seriously hurt myself. In all honesty, I'm afraid of what I would do to myself if I had to be female for the rest of my life.

Talk about a  biased article...  >:(

In the interest of preventing deception all Catholics should be required to wear a patch with crossed keys on their shoulder.

Makes me wonder why I'd rather kill myself and let these prejudice bigots win. The hate and misdirection and lack of education this article projects is just mind numbing.

The total lack of understanding from a group who  "only god knows for how long" has raped and molested children is now using their reach to persecute those not like themselves. I tell you who the devil is. It is this church. It is the evil jerks that wrote this piece of trash.

Screw them and screw their religion.

Exactly Lori.  Exactly.  I will go to my grave defending the one that is my heart and soul.

QuotePersons who present themselves in public as the other sex say they need such protections because they are afraid of violence. This fear is real. When someone is deceived — particularly in such a personal matter has the sex of an intimate partner or potential spouse — anger is an understandable reaction. Violent acts can never be condoned, but if such legislation is passed those who have been deceived will be denied any legal recourse and the deceivers will be portrayed as victims.

OMFG these people are advocating violence towards TS. How is it legal to beat and kill? And by passing this bill it makes it illegal all of a sudden and now these poor people that were deceived have no legal recourse? Are you F'n joking me? Oh this just makes me sick to my stomach. These child molesting heathens have no right to speak out on behalf of anybody.

This article and church is where true evil lies. Pure evil is at the very foundation of this organization.
