Ms Bev

Our family always celebrates the Fourth of July at our house, mostly family get-together, sharing stories, cook out, fireworks for the kiddies, lots of fun.  The only family member that has been missing has been my nephew, who for his own personal reasons could not fathom my transition, and chose not to come the last few years.  This year will be the same huge family get together, but my nephew has asked to come, and wants to get to know Beverly and be connected again.  I am so happy .......welcome home, nephew!
More charcoal, dogs (make mine Angus!) burgers and buns.....that kid always did have a good appetite!

Congrats Miss Bev, sometimes it takes family and friends time to come to terms with what we need to do to be happy.

Happy 4th

Good for you, Bev and for your nephew.  And it is Independence Day.  Maybe he is declaring his independent thoughts.

I am glad that he is returning to Loving Aunt.

Yes, congratulations!  It takes some people time to wrap their heads around our transitions.  I'm glad your nephew is returning. :D

Happy Independence Day! :eusa_dance:

The Fourth came and went, as did all of my family, including my nephew.  I was so glad he came, and he was so glad he came.  He bear-hugged me when he left, and promised to visit now and again.  It was a perfect re-connect.  Everyone had too much to eat, too much to laugh about, so many memories to share.
As I had hoped, it was a blast!

That's great! It's nice to follow a story through to find it has a happy ending.
