I am curious.  What is your experience with the gay male community with regards to finding a partner (even just a sexual partner)?
I would like to hear from both MTF's and FTM's on this one.
I am mostly attracted to men and although orientation doesn't matter to me when it comes to attraction one can't escape the fact that when i have transitioned I am going to be perceived as a dude. And dudes that are attractd to duds are going to be mostly gay right?
It's difficult for me to have a frame of reference for this at the moment as i have only been on T 4 months and I don't pass all the time.  People usually just assume that I am a butch lesbian.  but obviously this is going to change as I transition further.  So I would appreciate greatly some input on this?

My boyfriend is gay, and I'm very early on in transition. He just see's me as a guy, the girl parts are happily ignored.

I've heard mixed feelings from other gay guys, heard some say that without a penis, it aint a dude. Others saying if it looks like a guy then it's a guy. You just have to find someone with the right attitude is all.

I'm happily married to another bisexual bloke though he's cis and I'm trans. No issue between us.
Those bisexual and homosexual men I know see me as another bloke too.

I've only had experience with the bi variety of the group and they saw me as the holy grail.  No idea about exclusively gay dudes.

go to SF's section on craigslist.  search for 'ftm' in the personals.  it's so damn easy it's ridiculous.

*goes to craigslist new zealand* apparently not in my corner of the world... >_> lol

omg, on dating websites though, I get so many apparently 'straight' men messaging me, thinking I'm a transwoman >_< so I have to have this title on my profile now explaining what a transguy is. Oi vey.

Personally, I don't want to date a guy who's only bi-curious... I think I'd feel insecure about how much they see me as a guy.

I had an ad on craig's list.  The only replies I got were from men, even though I said I was interested in women, and one lesbian who had dated transguys, but she stopped communicating with me when I told her I had transitioned (had top surgery and was on T and now legally male).

I'd rather be single than be in a wrong relationship.  So on I go living life and hoping to meet someone out there who doesn't care about my medical history.

Yeah funny story about that actually.  I was talking to a dude online before I came out and when I finally did tell him he completely stopped speaking to me.  The thing is before I came out he was telling me how open minded sexually he was.
LMAO.....not...he was hot though
