Chuck Norris will destroy this thread in thirty seconds.  :police:

heheh...okay, so as an actor, he's not stellar and his politics are ridiculous.  But all the myths about him are hilarious!  :D

his politics are ridiculous

So too his decision to sing the theme song to Walker, Texas Ranger.  Who let that happen?
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Steve Martin gets on my nerves!

Me too. I don't go near his films, though I give him credit for Roxanne.

Hugh Grant.

Utterly wooden actor who always plays the same verbally bumbling Englishman who is slightly bemused by some incongruous situation.

When I see him, I want to smear my own feces over the screen of my telly.

sounds like an art project to me.  A TV with a series of Hugh Grant films running on it and smeared with poo.  Look out MOMA, here we come!!!

There are some "big stars" I don't care for. I generally just forget about them.

My Dear, that is the most hurtful thing you can do to a star.

LOL ;D I HATE, HATE, HATE:

Keanu Reeves, Mel Gibson, Paris Hilton, Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayek, Johnny Depp, Steven Seagal, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Daryl Hannah, John Travolta, Ben Affleck, Sylvester Stallone, Alan Cumming, Jim Carrey, Brendan Fraser, William Shatner, Nicholas Cage.

Now don't take me wrong, Keanu Reeves, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Brendan Fraser and Nicholas Cage are YUMMY as men but they're lame as actors....  :P

That's a quite comprehensive list.  And I believe you caused Brad Pitt to cry.

Well, hate is a pretty strong word, but here are the actors that I really don't like at all!   ;D

Adam Sandler, Leonardo DeCaprio, Jack Nicholson, Ben Affleck, Reese Witherspoon, Melanie Griffith, Jodie Foster, Russell Crowe, Helena Bonham Carter, Lauren Bacall, Helen Hunt, Minnie Driver

I had forgotten Leonardo DeCraprio, Jack Dicholson, Ben Assfleck. I avoid them and their films too.

rebis, did my thread inspire you?

celebrities you can't stand

https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,32375.0.html

It was partly that and partly because of the 'big movies you hate' thread. I wanted to aim specifically at film stars.

Chuck Norris's head was sued by National Society of Tree Stumps for impersonating a block of wood.

uh, no, not a documentary, a biography. really really good film, i'm saying.

Now that I think of it, aren't Helen Hunt and Jodie Foster the same person?  ;D

That brings up the other point that, as insipid as some of these stars are, they occasionally may participate in a project where they shine a little.

Though that would never happen with Segal or Norris.

I wish I were Helen Hunt or Jodie Foster, or both.

Jon Heder. Every role he's ever played has been exactly the same as Napoleon Dynamite. His 15 minutes have been up for a while, though, as far as I know.

Michael Cera seems to be going the same route by playing George-Michael in everything. Although the only movie I've seen him in is Juno, in which he did alright, everything else at least looks like crap.

There's not any actors I "hate" but the only ones I can think of that I don't particularly care for is Hugh Jackman and Ashton Kutcher. I mean...EVERYONE I know loves them and thinks they're super hot. Their acting is meh. Their looks are alright I guess but I've seen hotter actors

I was unaware that Ashton Kutcher is an actor

I hate Sandra Bullock because she plays the same character every time.

I hate the sludge pile of current "comedians" like Wil Ferrel, Adam Sandler, et al

I hate keanu Reeves becuase he can't act and because my ex loves him lol.

I hate all those stupid action heroes...John Wayne, Steven Seagal, blah blah blah.

My most hated old time actor is William Holden. He makes me want to throw a shoe through the television. Did men ever actually act like that and think it was cool?

There are two who I used to hate, who won me over. I used to gag at the mere mention of Leonardo DiCaprio, but I liked him in Catch Me If You Can. I still can't stand him in anything else though. And I used to not be able to stand Cameron Diaz, but I liked her in Being John Malkovich and pretty much everything she's done since, like In Her Shoes.

PS--going the other way, I used to like Tom Hanks but now i can't stand him. Mister frigging Normal.

Amen to that.

There are a lot of actors on here that I can't stand in movies, but I like them when they're on talk shows and stuff...Will Ferrell is a good example of that.  His movies suck, but I liked him on SNL and on talk shows.

...I actually adore Tom Hanks...don't ask me why, but he's just so darn charming!  I can't help myself.  I think it's because he really isn't all that handsome...

@Tekla...I probably still know all the words to the theme from Walker, Texas Ranger.   (shut up, I was young and had no control over what was on the television...we didn't have cable!!!)

Lindsay Lohan turned down the movie 'the hangover'.  It's been in the theater for a month. Apparently her thinking skills aren't much better than her acting skills.

Instead of the hangover, she has some TV movie coming out on lifetime or something.
