ok so i am 5'11" and i am not on hrt or anything else yet
i don't think i look that bad considering i am new to this i don't even know how to do mi make up or how to dress properly i am just learning and by myself i have no help from anybody
maby whit time and practice i will look better
It isn't the make up or the dressing part, and this is my opinion only, but if you're not on hrt then really can't truly pass. There are some women who done hrt, and they still cannot pass unless they get the facial surgeries, and even then some just can't pass.

I think you would definitely pass once you get the hrt though, since you do look like you have potential.

There are some who pass without touching a drop of HRT and those on HRT who are never able to pass. Clothes and make up only enhance the bad points in a lot of cases and a natural look is far better if you look fairly feminine to start with. I passed a lot better before I was on HRT and HRT hasn't made any difference to my shape or fat distribution.

The world is full of big, ugly, mannish women with deep voices, and nobody calls them sir.

I wouldn't bet too much money on that if I were you.

Well i don't think you can pass now, but vast majority of past puberty transwoman couldn't pass in "before anything" stage. Work on yourself and don't evaluate yourself too much before you start hrt as you really can't tell before how far someone will go
good luck  :)

Blending is a matter of attitude, not just looks.  But based on one picture yes you blend, but smile.

Why can people smile?  Are you not happy with yourself?

Janet

I like me (now) - I don't like my smile. (of course, I freely admit I look miserable when I don't smile so it's a catch 22)

Nope,  you don't look like a man at all, so you'll never pass as a guy. ;-)

Though a smile would make you beautiful.

Beni
I concur heavily. Abolish all insecurities from your mind, relax, and allow yourself a sincere, gracious smile. It doesn't exactly make you look more feminine, but a friendly expression makes people more inclined to find you attractive. Like any woman, you yearn to FEEL attractive. In light of that, remember: the way you feel INSIDE reflects on your appearances OUTSIDE. The first step toward being attractive on the outside is being attractive on the inside.

And ma'am, may I be bold and suggest perhaps a fire engine-red instead of pink? I would use slightly less make-up around my eyes, and I would have my lips WAXED rather than shaved. Remember, a lot of women have to have unwanted hair removed, and you would just be one among a vast throng. Almost every woman in history has had to endure a little pain in the name of beauty. I can tell you work hard already on your appearances, though, I compliment you on what you have accomplished. That WAS a wise choice of lipstick, for example. I think you're on the right track.

I also suggest a little more sleeve than that particular outfit has. Until you have shed more of that unwanted muscle mass, you are not going to be able to pull that off. I suggest getting a membership at a gym, and concentrate heavily on toning. I think that usually means using lighter weights for longer periods of time. If you are on the full rig of HRT, you will NOT bulk up, no matter what you do. As always, though, the best kind of excercise in the world is aerobic and cardio :).

Honestly, though, you could pass just fine as a WOMAN just as you are. All you need to succeed is self-confidence. For evidence, have you seen the thread entitled, "Getting ma'amed without getting glammed"? That's what happens when you are NOT feeling knotted up internally over your appearances. When you are feeling anxious about your looks, it stiffens your posture, quite contrary to the fluid movements and easy grace that one expects from a TRUE woman. You see?

Good luck!!!

PS: most people who DO notice are likely to be too tactful to point it out to you or anyone else. Unless you are in the American South, which is absolutely infamous for backbiting, gossipping and bigotry, anybody who guesses on you is unlikely to SAY anything unless you've been rude to them somehow. Other than that, just have faith that, if you show yourself to be trustworthy and kind of heart, NOBODY is going to try to unmask you or anything. That would be unspeakably rude, no matter where you go, and I hope you don't frequent the types of places where that is likely to happen. Open your heart, and trust: it makes you look a LOT more feminine.

Hi Gata.  because the first picture you posted was dark, I really couldn't judge, but based on your second picture, in my opinion, you look like a girl.  As you progress, you will improve your presentation and gain confidence.  In large part, passing is a state of mind, so refine your look, mannerisms, voice, and inflection and you will do wonderfully.

Anyone can pass.  I am 6'3" and I pass MOST of the time.  As someone noted above, it is all in the attitude.
