I'm looking for, and can't find (or am too ill-informed to know what to look for) a product I can apply after shaving that doesn't smell "manly" and will sooth the redness and irritation in some places.

All the aftershave i can find is scented in a most unfeminine fashion....don't see anything that seems to be after shave for feminine shaving.

It wouldn't HAVE to be "after shave" of course...anything that would do the job.

Any suggestions?

One cup apple cider vinegar and green tea.  Takes out the sting of shaving and  does not smell like vinegar.  I use it twice a day as a toner.

Green tea as in the sort you drink? And if so how much?

Any green tea or the stuff you actually brew?

Swab on and leave it there to air dry or rinse/towel off?

The Body Shop's Maca Root aftershave.  Smells good and botanical- not manly.

Brew a cup of green tea, unflavored, just plain, tea.  Let cool.
Add a cup of apple cider vinegar, I have mine in an old Pepsi bottle.

Use a cotton ball to apply all over.  Let dry.  Tones and refreshes the skin and thats the sting out of razor burn.

The best after shave soother I have tried so far is Clinique's post-shave healer.  Comes in a small 2.5 fl oz grey bottle but you only need a little.  100% fragrance free with a high aloe content.  Can be ordered via Amazon.

Witch hazel is also a good option.  If you don't like the smell of regular witch hazel, Thayers makes it in lemon, rose, peach and lavender options, as well as ones with cucumber and aloe vera.  There are also several custom soap makers who make aftershaves in just about any scent you can imagine, as well as unscented.  Mama Bear and The Shave Den come to mind.  Also, if you like florals a number of the high-end British aftershave makers (like Castle Forbes, Geo F. Trumper, and Truefitt & Hill) offer lavender and rose options, and lime is also very common. I've also heard good things about Nivea's Extra-Soothing Aftershave Balm, and Gentlemen's Refinery Unscented Aftershave Balm.
