Today is a big day for me.  I'll be testifying at a hearing at the Massachusetts State House.  What vital legislation could have caused me to abandon all summertime activities - beach, park, book store, ice cream shop - and race into Boston to give them a piece of my mind?  The Transgender Bathroom bill, that's what.

Yes, that's what they're calling it but it's much more heinous than that.  It's an upheaval of "hate crimes" legislation, where language is removed from existing law that protects against discrimination based on such inconsequential things as children, marital status, whether or not you're a veteran or member of the armed forces and if you accept public assistance and puts in it's place "gender identity or expression".
