I feel bored most of the times and wish I had something interesting to do, but can't think of anything. Does any of you have any fun hobbies?

Bike riding, walking, both work well with doing photography (you can see some pics at the site linked in my siggy) I read a lot too.

Writing poetry, short stories, or journaling sometimes help getting through blah periods. I also like to wander around a museum or two. When I would complain to my mother, she'd always say: "You could clean your room." Today, I ran a load of dishes, entered expenses into Quicken, and am heading upstairs to sort the mail--and watched the Red Sox lose on TV.

Writing music, playing piano, masturbating and strangling animals.

A couple other ideas. As many of you know, I love cooking. Go to the library; find a cookbook for food you've never tasted; and try making some recipes. In fact, pick a country, read about it, listen to its music, and cook its food.

I also like knitting. Taking some yarn and turning it into a garment is magical to me.

Join a group with a purpose. Ecology, peace--feed the hungry, lift up the fallen, heal the sick, and you may forget you're bored. There's a great need for volunteers.

I use to write music and poems and play a few instruments. Sometimes still do. mostly guitar.

These days I mostly garden or ride one of my bikes. I have a thing for fixing up old Schwinn bicycles. But mostly ride my mtn. bike

What are you passionate about? What interests you? Do you prefer an activity that you can share with someone else (like tennis) or something you can do by yourself (like coin collecting)?

I dunno, I never seem to get bored. I find I dont have seem to have enough time to indulge in my passions.... music (I play piano and keyboards and write music), antique model train collecting and operating (talk about a money sink!), etc.

Some spend all of their waking moments online...  :D

I like hiking, photography and making various kinds of art. My geeky/nerdy side likes making, modifying and customizing things too. My current passion obsession is building (and playing) solid body electric guitars. Actually, I have too many interests to list (or find time for) them all.
Given the necessary resources, I would probably make a dandy mad scientist.   ::)

I had to think about that. I suppose my hobby is political activism. My present project is working towards inclusion of medical cannabis and decriminalization in the US Virgin Islands.

I read a lot, lift weights when I can (have some health issues), used to run/play fantasy roleplay games by email and forum for awhile (takes up a lot of time, though).

I read, watch movies, hang out online, walk around my neighborhood, stuff like that.  You can try yahoo groups if you're looking for an interest group.

Me either. Too much schoolwork. Wish I could write more.

I'm an artist, but since deciding to try and be more "neat" and thus storing all my art supplies in a big box under a table in the livingroom... I haven't produced so much art...
So I'm taking all my stuff out of that box soon and putting it on a table where it's in the "Line of sight".
(If I can not see it, it doesn't exist.)

I also play games, tend to my daughter, take classes online, work, try and keep sane... etc. etc. etc..

Theatre's a wonderful way to waste life, even getting in as a set painter or what have you sucks up all your time and replaces it with camaraderie, fun, creativity and the most highly developed bitchiness you could wish.

Now days a digital camera is cheapish ('specially if you share it with peeps) and most computers come with basic editing. Could make films, cmedy, drama, horror.

Writing is even easier and cheaper.

Take up baking, that uses time, costs less than i shop bought cake and with the edition of tea creates a lovely social environment.

DIY is a similar type of thing if you are more macho.

Learn an instrument, harmonicas are cheap for example.

I do all this, stil get bored sometimes but not through lack of effort. I'm lucky in that I live in a beautiful and fascinating city, don't need a hobby then.

I'm a drummer in a band, I also play a bunch of other instruments, DIY at home, pen and paper role-playing games (my first love), computer games, reading, sleep, dreaming, cooking, hunting, shooting and killing various animals, gardening, making alcoholic drinks like cider and plum wine, preserves and pickles, eeling. When I have time, i.e. when the kids are older, I would love to volunteer to join St Johns - and provide first aid at sports events and concerts etc.. I used to volunteer as a Samaritan (befriender) as a phone help line operator but I did not have the time after my second baby.

i am a part time cyberpunk, slob, occasionally read, do research (for finding the best movies), walk around town while not passing, try to write sometimes but nothing comes out, collect and install software i never use, try to avoid reading the news but read it anyway, worry about the day i'll finally see my mom again (will she laugh?), hold hands and cuddle with my babe, obsess about my eyebrows, be a momma-dog for my dog, listen to music that i like it, eat toast with peanut butter, and cook.

R/C cars are pretty fun and pretty affordable. :)

I know some people who work at the big convention centers who are all into the RC deal, they have a huge clear area when an event is not in.  It's pretty cool to be able to run one on a smooth slab of concrete that's pretty much a square city block.
