Kismet

Hi.
In the year of 1988, a bright eyed baby girl was born into the world on the lovely anniversary of John Lennon's birthday. That's October the ninth. Born as a Libra through and through, the confused being grew.  The little girl with big blue eyes and blonde hair always knew something was off with her however and it was only recently that she became aware that 'Hey... There's a word for how you feel. It's called Trans-sexualism.' And at once, that little girl was thrust into a widely feared and misunderstood social grouping of people as she then awakened inside to the beautiful slender boy she always was, and really, always knew she was, too.

It comes as no surprise to the average reader that the boygirl we've been lightly delving into the history of is in fact, me.
I'll be eightteen come next October. I've been out on my own since I was fourteen.

I love to dress as a boy, I very much prefer to be referred to as a male, and for all intents and purposes I consider myself one. I have an intense distaste for myself being a female, but I enjoy my female body for what it is. I'll admit - It's a nice body. It has well-shapen breasts, fine curvatures, exotic features with large eyes and a lovely slim build - But it isn't mine. I don't think at this point I ever want to change my body. As I've put it in the past, "I was born a girl, so I'm taking it like a man."

I'm not going to take hormones, and I'm not thinking seriously of going under the knife. But I'm not quite sure yet.
I'm desperately in love with a wonderfully slender and beautiful boy of yellow eyes and dark hair who loves me regardless of my body's gender and supports me in every facet. He's told me he's willing to help fund the operation if I ever choose to go through with it. Gods, I love him. He's a great guy.
I think we make a great gay couple. =P

I'm a furry, (No, I'm not a freakazoid, I just draw anthros and roleplay as them and stuff. I'm active in the furry community but not the way they are on that CSI episode.)
I work full-time at a small petshop in the downtown core of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. I have a total thing for the Russian language and Russian accents, as well as for guys that can play the piano. I'm somewhat bi with a preference for males. I'd "do" a girl, but never would have a relationship with a female. I love animals. As a kid, I was obsessed with Jurassic Park and all sorts of other "boy's toys." (Gee, I wonder why?) No Barbies for me.
A bit of a nymphomaniac... Okay, a LOT of a nymphomaniac (My boyfriend just gave me 'the look' when I typed 'a bit.' Yes dear, I know.) Again, male sex drive.
"xds67999" he types.

Anyways, this computer is slow as all hell and I'm hungry and need to go rant about my ephemeral penis somewhere else, so...
Yes. My ephemeral penis for the win. And stuff.

I'm very happy to find a place with like-minded people.
There aren't many trans-sexuals around where I live. I still haven't "come out" to my parents.
Everyone else but!

Thanks for the welcome, and I'm sure I'll enjoy my stay here. It's been awhile since I was active in a forum environment, and it's nice to find one I can feel comfortable in.

Welcome Kismet. And you'd be surprised how many transsexuals, FtM in fact, live where you live :)

I live 3 hours north of you. My therapist, psych (for assessment) and endo were all in Victoria. There is some FtM community in Victoria, apparently, but I've always travelled over to Vancouver for meetings etc, so I don't know that much about the community in Vic. There is also a Victoria based mailing list on yahoo called Vicgenderqueers and one in Vancouver that's specifically FtM called Vanguys. I have heard complaints from the few gay guys in the Vancouver community that it's mostly straight.

If you don't plan on having surgery, that's a good thing probably because MSP is a nightmare to deal with. I wound up paying for my own chest surgery and am fighting with them now about paying for a hysto.

Hello Kismet.
Great intro. I'm FTM as well.
You speak Russian, eh? Being of Russian stock, it's a pity I don't, my father does though.
Welcome and pleased to meet you. <shakes hand>
I look forward to hearing more.

Welcome, Kismet... I'm an FtM, too, who has not undergone T therapy or SRS. While I might eventually opt for T, if I can afford it and it won't adversely affect my health, I don't intend to undergo SRS at any point in the future... I can deal with using the many things there are for us TSs to pass nowadays, like binders and other... attachments... and I have a low voice and naturally growing facial hair, so I pass pretty well, anyway. If you ever need any advice or anything, I'm here for you.

No, I have a thing for Russian and Russian accents... I don't speak it, though I wish I did. I speak Japanese, Norwegian, and French in addition to English, though.

Welcome Kismet,

It is good to see you on the forums.

Whatever you do decide in your life, however far you wish to go, you have many friends and people who can help you here. Lots of information and help as well as lots of experience.

Unfortunately I have gone the other way, so mine are not to relevant... but like all the guys here I deeply admire your convictions and wish you happiness..

I don't speak Russian, but English I am good at, French is OK, Thai is passable and my Arabic improving daily.... Inschalla

Hey, Kismet, I just joined up...  I wanted to say that it's really cool that you have such a supportive guy.  I'm also a boy born with girl parts...  It's cool to see there's someone out there with what seems to be a very similar view on it all.  And I love your quote.

Kismet,
Not sure as to why my welcome is so tardy! Sorry and welcome here. There are a few other Canadians floating around here other than Dennis.
