Suspect denied involvement when questioned.

TRINIDAD - Police are investigating the alleged rape and attempted murder of a transsexual man visiting Trinidad for a sex-change pre-operation procedure.

The man labeled as a person of interest in the alleged offense has been identified as Marcus Lee Watlington. The report obtained by The Pueblo Chieftain did not state where he is from or his age.

Watlington was interviewed by police and denied all involvement in the assault.

Hearing impaired, sexually assaulted with a wooden coat hanger, attempted drowning and ELECTROCUTION!

Yeah, we don't need hate crime legislation.  Obviously the victim was asking for it. 

I am so very happy that this poor woman lived through this ordeal.  I prey that her recovery is swift and complete.  And I so very much wish that she will be able to testify in open court, face her torturer and have him jailed for a long, long time.

My rage is palpable!

Sentenced for a long, long time?  No.  A tub of water and a electric heater direct wired into the prison wiring system.

Gods I hope she is getting the help she needs to deal with this.
How on earth can they not be looking into charges of attempted murder?

I loved Trinidad.. and Dr. Bowers and her staff..

All we can hope is the DA finds the cojones to prosecute this to the fullest.
