Sorry beth-chella,
it got lost in translation!!
LordKat, I remember a story from the Waikerie gliding club. A very popular gliding club in the world because of the outback thermals etc so a lot of international visitors. My friend was in the club house and saw a glider come in and as usual the tower flashed in who it was, a japanese guest, who incidentally was a commercial pro pilot. After an hour he hadn't made it to the club house, so they set off to find him; although the tower reported a safe landing. He was in the cockpit and wouldn't come out because the kangaroos were all around him feeding on the grass. They are pretty nervous critters usually, just don't back up a big male. More people are killed by hitting them at night while driving, they can appear in front of you very quickly, and hitting a six-seven footer can really take the paint off the car.
Sorry Jean,
Didn't mean to hijack your welcome. This way you get even more welcomes and some typical banter among the nice people here.
Luv All
Cindy.
