WASHINGTON - Lesbian, gay, and bisexual people are almost twice as likely to seek help for mental health issues or substance abuse treatment as their heterosexuals counterparts, according to a study.

Well if they would educate people that this exists and to deal with it, instead of hiding it from kids who are LGBT, then just maybe they would be better adjusted.

Burying your head in the sand and not educating your kid, who just happens to be LGBT leaves them to themselves to find a way to understand it and considering how most children (and adults) act about it, is there any wonder it's a hard lifestyle to adjust to?

Gee, in a patriarchal, heterosexual, cis-gender-centered society, why am I not surprised by this?

I agree with Leslie, there should be more education and more support for the LGBT community.

(Suddenly I'm in a very cynical mood.  hmmm)
