Cheapest I found so far is walmart for $78.42 for 90 pills, that like a month wroth. The place was was buying before having script was about $140 for 300 pills.

Any help finding lower price would be appreciated.

I use wal mart too, yes I know they are evil so don't start. Have your doctor specify the pills on their discount list on your script. That should cut your spiro bill in half at least, and the difference in bioavailability in this respect isn't enough to get excited about. You'll have to take a lot of them using this approach but to me at least the savings is worth it.

edit - please remember to avoid mentioning actual dosages. thanks.

Holy Crap that's expensive, here in Ontario I paid $37.00 for three months supply when I was taking them.  How close are you to the border? :)

Yeah, Canada is cheaper. I don't pay for mine ('cause I'm on government assistance), but sometimes they leave the slip in with the price before coverage, and I think it was only $50 here, or something like that. It would vary pharmacy to pharmacy, although.

I wouldn't trust internet ones, 'cause I've heard that some of the so-called "canadian" ones on the internet are actually from different countries. I also heard that they are trying to stop people from ordering canadian prescriptions online to send to the US.

That would mean taking 12 pills a day. That leaves a bad taste in my mouth, oh here's another one that hard to swallow. That is lot of pills to take it's really only 4 at a time.

I might try it.

Thanks,
Anna

What mg? (Never mind, got it!) With script?

Spironolactone 100mg 300 Tablets US $109.00 = $.36/tab  ???

and *a Blue's clue* I don't use "insurance"!

lol Blues Clues, my neice used to watch that show! Catchy tune for sure. A clue? Where?!

Anyway I was using that $109 place too and my doctor got her panties in a knot over it. A bit ethnocentric if you ask me, like americans are the only ones who can make drugs, but it was her way or the highway so back to walmart we go. I won the Avodart argument but as far as the spiro goes with a difference of only a few cents a pill I didn't really have a case.

I joined Walgreen's prescription club. That charges me something like $36 for a 3 month supply. I don't want to talk about doses specifically, but that's at the max amount my doctor plans to have me on for HRT. It's WAY cheaper that way than it would have been on my crappy insurance coverage.

So far I guess I am the cheapest.  $20 for a 90 supply thru Kaiser.  But without that it would be a lot more I am sure.

Ya we heard that too up here.  A load of crap. Fact is we get many of our drugs from the big US drug manufacturers like Pfizer they export all over the world and I take one of their land mark drugs - Lipitor and have been for a few years now.  For the most part it's just right wing propaganda being spread by those opposed to Obamas proposed reforms to your medical system.

Ok she does not want me to go to the $109 place - $5 for repeat buyers. She was worried about what might be in the pills.

Walgreen's will be the best bet so far.

Thanks,
Anna

lol ;D very good deduction! Oh, I see! So your paying extra just to satisfy someone else's "worry". A lot of what comes from "there" is name brand in original packaging, I have never once had a problem in the 3 years I have been using 'em and do you really understand US patent law and WHY they can legally offer us the same meds products for less? It has to do with "producing the exact same end result but through different processes" . . .

I assure you that even though most "other world" folks and elderly can hardly afford to pay ripoff US prices, I think it's admirable none-the-less you can be so devoted to supporting our local economy! How do I know that they are good quality and work? As our recently dearly departed Annwyn was always good gross at expressing,

"My tits [often] hurt"!  ;D

(it's basic principals for me - how is it they can ship half-way around the world for FREE when just about everybody else wacks you "handling" as well?)
