According to a March '09 Guitar Player Magazine interview, Brad Paisley is quoted as saying, "Whammy bars are for sissies". Which could be true - even though this particular sissy doesn't much care for them. 

And yeah, RIP to the late, wonderfully multi-talented Mr. Les Paul.

P.S. According to Wikipedia (yeah, I know...) a tremolo/whammy bar is also sometimes refered to as a "waggle stick". Eeeewww..."Waggle stick"!

PS: "Breakfast on Pluto" is a great film directed by Niel Jordan, staring Cillian Murphy, Stephen Rea, Brendan Gleeson and Liam Neeson. Like his other film "The crying game" it deals also with IRA violence and Transexuality.

Well, its Shades thread, and when Shades isn't looking for new dolls, I know Shades is playing with musical stuff.  So it seemed like an almost on topic veer. I'm still a Barbie person myself.

RIP Les Paul! Music today would be different without his considerable influence.
