I'm "presenting" as male (already got a men's haircut - it's just ready for a trim again, wearing men's clothes - today shorts with very hairy legs, etc), but I don't pass 100%.
I get sir'd quite a bit, but by the time I talk, they're "correcting" themselves.
I'm hoping though that if I walk in presenting male and asking for a men's haircut in a men's hair studio, then whether they go "wait, that's 'really' a girl" or not, they'll still go ahead with the cut, since I'm very obviously not presenting as a girl in any way (other than the biological traits that I can't do anything about - yet)... If they see that I carry myself as a guy, dress like a guy, already have a guy's haircut, etc, and have INTENTIONALLY walked into a shop that very clearly is for MEN, then probably won't think "oh, this 'girl' doesn't know that we only cut men's hair", and they'll think "girl or not, 'she' is asking for a men's cut in a men's shop, so we might as well go ahead"... Maybe?
What do you think though, should I chance it, or just go somewhere else (and pay WAY more) since I don't pass 100%?
