I have found Satan

Sandy

Don't look for a link here pointing to the latest rantings of some bible/quoran/talmud thumping evangelist.

I found him this morning.

In my bathroom.

I was just waking up and still stumbling around and my thoughts were not yet clear.  I looked at my naked form in the mirror and was overtaken with anxiety.  All at once, I was overcome with a dread and fear and a statement of "What have I done!?" started going around in my head.

This is where Satan lives.  The devil does not speak soothing words.  He does not entice.  He attempts to drive away peace and tranquility.  To make one become disconnected from their spirituality.  That state of mind I was in was the Siren's song to lead me to depression and down the road to complete the terrible task that I attempted so many times before.

And at once I recognized what truly was going on.  I then evicted him easily from my thoughts.

I looked at my naked form once more and thought "Pretty sexy for a tough old broad!"

Satan get thee behind me!

Blessed Be Sandy..

I am glad you were able to resist the temptations and regain your self..

I am sorry he ever crossed your threshold, but glad you threw him out again.

Strength and peace be yours...

It's a good thing that you got him out before he could tempt you or taunt you further.  A lot of people will chalk it up to self-doubt, but the honest truth is that he's out there, waiting to prey on you at your weakest.  I'll admit I'm at the beginning of my road and I'm already being hit by him.

I'm glad to hear you kicked him out on his rear though, it's heartening to hear stories of victories such as this.

Blessed Be, Sandy.  May the Goddess grant you peace and harmony as you walk your path, and keep you and protect you from the dark forces. :icon_hug:

Funny thing about old Satin, the almighty evil one, that Prince of Darkness, Lucifer himself - when we find him, we find him first within ourselves.

Just thinking.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I'm not so sure about that Tekla. I seem to hear a lot of people finding him in others but not in their high and mighty selves.

Sandy, I was no where near your bathroom.
I do not even have any idea where you live.

"I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you,
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So let's make the most of this beautiful day,
Since we're together, we might as well say,
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

Heather!

I can imagine that you have your devilish ways (I'll ask Janet for confirmation), but I hardly think you are the devil!   :D

Are you saying that my ex, several family members,
some people, I used to refer to as friends, are lying?

I wouldn't presume to speak for them.  But people often ascribe to others what they most despise when they look in the mirror!

Sandy, If there is a Satan he or she is not in the mirror dear. I beleive Satan was invented by some religions to scare people into being good. There are those who beleive that the 666 (Satan) will appear in the form of a human and mess things up. If that is so the it's here and has been for many years. Evil is here and is disguised by another beleif. For example Jim Jones of Jonestown Guyana is considered one of the MOST evil by criminologists.

As a Pagan, I do have to contend that there are many different energies, spirits, and forces out there, some are light, while others are darker and more sinister.  Perhaps "Satan" is just one representation of those.
