My brother, who doesn't know I'm trans, came into my room last night, and asked, completely out of the blue, "Hey......um...... You're a girl, aren't you...?". I've always been a bit nervous that he'll figure it out (not sure if I want him to or not), and I wasn't sure if he had and was asking about it, so I stuck with a neutral "Why...?". "Well", he said, "my girlfriend and her mum went bra shopping and [girlfriend's name] was told she was a 12 FF. What do I say to a girl to commiserate?".

Of all the possible answers I could have given, I'm so glad I didn't and just stuck with "Why?"!

(And I redirected him to Mum for girly advice ).

Anyone else have a "glad I kept my mouth shut" coincidence?

Can't think of anything specifically but there was plenty of those moments, though I always felt more of a regret at not taking the opportunity to be out...

Unfortunately, I have too few of those "glad to have kept my mouth shut" moments.   Usually there have been more "gee, why didn't I keep my mouth shut?" moments.

But you guys are better at keeping your mouths shut, aren't you?   Or is that sexist?

I'd have kept my mouth shut because I've never known squat about bra measurements. When I had to buy one of the friggin' things I'd do it, feeling like an imposter or intruder in the bra section of the store, and get the deed done ASAP and outta there. I'd just pick up something down at the just-above-training-bra end of the scale lol
