I personally do not want an arm penis as I have nicknamed them (this is not meant to be offensive it is a little bit of humor), it just isn't for me. Right now I just think it is all too complicated expensive and risky, and for me these are the best "right now" alternatives. "Right now" being if you have a bit of cash saved up...although it is cheaper than Phalloplasty, these prosthetics are rather expensive.

You pump the balls to make it erect, and when you're finished "having fun" it just takes a few twists of the exit valve to release the air and return the penis to it's flaccid state. Beware though if you are skinny and short, don't get the large dual or it is going to look like you stuffed a banana down your pants! Trust me, I know...These models do not offer any stimulation but they are incredibly realistic with a ton of skin shades to choose from. They are made in Australia by a Professional Prosthetist called Joseph, really nice man!
<----- LolaJake offers a wide range of products including an option for 3D balls or Foreskin for the guys who like the uncut look! The foreskin option is absolutely unreal, the skin retracts like a real penis. LolaJake also offers a harness option for those guys who don't like getting all sticky with medical adhesive. LolaJake is next on my list of must haves!

I hope someone, anyone found this information useful. There are a few more FtM resources out there now then there was a few years ago but I think there are guys out there who are unsure of their option's in regards to bottom surgery or the alternatives. There are alot of website's that sell what they claim to be "Prosthetics", be wary...I have done a fair bit of research (Tyrone2 needs to be researched further!) and the websites I have mentioned here seem to be the best in my opinion.

If anyone knows of any other websites they have found useful to them please add them here! Share your info! :-D

For $1728.57 without adhesive, the tyron2 is way out of most of our leagues.

What are the first and second companies? Is the second one Home Grown?

FWIW, Lola Jake products are not very realistic in feel or color, and the rod backs out during play.  The tab is huge and makes a crinkly noise when glued on.  Also, even the smallest pack and play, the Sam Plus, is way too  huge to wear daily.  This was my biggest disappointment and waste of money.

The FTM Australia product is much better in color and texture and realism.  The dual is also way too big for daily wear.  If you're going to spring for one of these, just get the erect one for play.  The packers are nice also, but don't have  pee option.

The best packers for realism IMO are the Like Real products.  Small, flexible, soft tab, nice texture and color.  Forget the stp option, it sucks.  Not to mention you have to shave your entire nether region to attach it, it's impractical and doesn't work.  And it's flimsy and falls off after just a few uses.  So skipping the urinary option, these packers are relatively reasonable in price ($129-199) and you can take a hot screwdriver and make the stp part yourself.  Works well if you already have a Mango or DJs or some other spoon/tube device.

Don't ask me how I know all this.   

Oh, and a guy sent me a review of the Tyron -- it's bigger and heavier than it looks, it takes some practice as he had problems keeping it inflated.  Once he got the hang of it he said he liked it and it was great to use (he has a gf).  But not for every day packing either, as it's huge.

It's kind of like saying that instead of walking, you're going to rollerskate.  Sure, you get from A to B, but you'll run into situations where skates just won't cut it.  Steep hills, staircases, hiking...   rollerskates just aren't as practical.

Most of the bottom surgery outcomes I've seen have not looked like a dick lol, although I can't speak on if they felt and acted like one.

I think you're being unfair.  We know you've managed to find a great surgeon and all of that, but it's hard to find someone who will perform that procedure.  Plus a lot of people just don't have the money.  I don't think just "getting a dick" is that easy.  Besides, some people are content with just using prosthetics, why post negative things about that?

Well, look at what is always written about packers and prosthetics-  too big, too small, can't piss with it, can't screw with it..   they're never good enough, realistic enough or satisfying enough.  Guys post on how to best hold a prosthetic to your body, types of adhesive, what to do while swimming, how to navigate gay bars.  Prosthetics are clearly NOT a great alternative to phalloplasty.

Some of the higher end prosthetics are several thousand dollars.  if you can afford to buy them, you can save up a bit more and get the real thing.

I originally wrote a load of stuff supporting prosthetics and arguing with some previous opinions, I have deleted that now. Now I'm not so sure. The truth is NOTHING is perfect, infact its ALL a pain in the arse and the sooner we all except that the better, their is no point arguing about whether prosthetics are better than surgery or visa versa..  if you expect a prosthetic to magically solve your penis dysphoria, make things a lot easier, then I think you need a reality check, you are most probably wrong. If you expect getting a penis surgically will solve every thing, you might also be wrong.. BUT I understand why you want something that is yours, your flesh and blood, dangling between your legs.. (BUT its VERY expensive, dangerous and may still not satisfy you).

Prosthetics are not the answer.. there are no answers.. but there are tricks of the trade.. there are things that might be able to get us to do a few more things and "pass".

I think if we can try and accept our "flaws" and make them into something special about us, something unique.. this could be a good idea. If that means accepting the unique "flaw" or difference that you have an unusual surgically constructed penis, but its yours!.. OR whether its your T enlarged micro penis.. OR the unique fact your penis changes from being a micro penis to a large prosthetic, to a stand and pee device then back to a micro penis... however our genitals are.. we need to start accepting them or changing them.. but its not healthy to compare all trans genitalia like they are a new car or something.. to get obsessed about it.. these are our bodies not products.

There seems to be a lot of hate and insecurity flying around, but this can really hurt peoples feelings, lets not diss each others feelings or choices. Lets think about what can make us happy, not have some kind of macho pissing contest.. coz ultimately we all come up short, even men born with penis's  come up short.. not all men can get erections.. not all men have penis's that satisfy their partners sexually.. not all men can get women pregnant.. not all men have good orgasms and not all men feel comfortable in the shower/locker room, if we can achieve some of these things, we aren't doing too badly, and I know most of us at least can satisify our partners and a lot of us have orgasms, so maybe we're not doing as badly as you think. We are men, and we feel something missing.. but trans men are not the only ones. I am not saying we should just love our bodies, sometimes we have to change our bodies, sometimes we simplzy can't be happy.. but lets spare a thought for those who *can't* change their bodies for financial reasons.. does that mean they are less men?... I don't think so.

I dunno.. I think if you want surgery and you can afford it, I think it isn't a bad choice. Its difficult. But there are some good results and I am sure it could make some people happy. At the same time I know very manly men who don't have surgery and do achieve satisfaction.. I guess its about where you choose to put your energy and money.. maybe for some men spending a few thousand pounds on getting a college degree, some qualifications or maybe even getting motorcycle will make them feel more like men than any surgical procedure OR prosthetic ever could!...

All in all I just think maybe we need to be less negative, stubborn and obsessive... more open minded. Maybe then we will feel stronger and empowered. There is more about being a man than whats between your legs.

I know this thread is ancient but I've seen it pop up 2x since I've been around here and I've resisted commenting each time but I guess 3rd time is the charm and I'm just gonna throw my 2 cents out there because hell, this is the internet and that's what people do on it  Also, I think there are enough guys out there who are really concerned about this topic to warrant another response.

Phalloplasty - if you really feel that this "flesh and blood", expensive, risky, operation will get you a real penis then I congratulate you on your own abilities to convince yourself of anything. If you wanna do that, hey that's your choice but you still don't have a functioning penis (reality check!). You have a hunk of skin (taken from somewhere else on your body) that doesn't have erectile tissue - meaning that you basically have to have additional implants to get a boner (and guess what, it's very similar to the soft-to-hard prosthesis out there only it looks like a frankenweenie instead of a sculpted, realistic dick). It's attached to you - there's one bonus - until surgery complications and you have to go under the knife multiple times (of course you usually have to wait until whatever infection your new junk has given you subsides because they won't cut you again till it does). Oh and you can't feel stuff like as if that were an actual penis either - just rub your arm skin or inner thigh skin and let us all know if that turns you on.

If you want something between your legs that's actual flesh and attached to you and you've got the money and you're aware of all the risks associated, then like I said it's your prerogative. But dissing all the guys who choose cyberskin over that or thinking you're more a man now cause you have a "dick" that's attached to you is whack.

And yes, what I said above was harsh - no need to point that out - like I said, it might offend some but what offends me is this sort of attitude like, "The moral of the story is that if you want something that looks like a dick, feels like a dick and acts like a dick...  get a dick." Or the just save up more money and "get the real thing". Well guess what? The option of donor penises doesn't actually exist yet so no, you're not getting the real thing. Maybe science will someday come up with the ability but a actual functioning penis is a damn complicated thing that really can't be reproduced yet.

A metoidioplasty will at least get you a small, somewhat functioning dick. You can at least still have an orgasm. It looks more like an actual penis, you can still piss through it. Yeah you have to have ball implants and yes it's still a major medical procedure with it's own set of risks but it's a hell of a lot closer than phalloplasty.

And then for probably the majority of us we get by with the prosthetics, packers, dildos, etc. We're all doing whatever we can to "feel normal". Some of us are willing to take surgical risks and end up with phalloplasty and some are not. Aren't differences great.

Seriously everything I've seen/read about phalloplasty paints it as a complete horror show. I'm sure there are guys out there who have had satisfactory results, but the majority turn out a disaster. Even if you somehow manage to make it through the veritable minefield of potential risks and side effects of the surgery, the end result is not a real functioning penis, it doesn't feel amazing and sensitive, and it's incapable of forming an unassisted erection. I'm sorry, but I'd rather wait (and use an amazing prosthetic in the meantime) for a better surgery, than shell out tens of thousands of dollars for something that just doesn't cut it.

insideontheoutside, MaxAloysius...I could not agree with you more. Perhaps one day scientists might be able to grow a penis in a tube for us or something using stem cell research, but I really don't think we are even on their agenda and I highy doubt it will happen in my life time. I think we just have to work with what we have and try our best to be happy with it.
