Anyone seen this ad? I went shopping at IKEA in Portland today for some dorm stuff and was browsing their Wikipedia ad just now when I happened upon the link. http://www.commercialcloset.org/common/adlibrary/adlibrarydetails.cfm?clientID=11064&QID=546

Cool, huh? I totally feel good about shopping there now. Plus I got me some tumblers for two bucks.

WOW!
I hadn't seen that before, but I'm surprised they even made it.

haha very nice. The ad says it's 10 years old, just amazing.

Apparently they made a few  like it. Unusual for a company far as I know.

With regards to the banned Ikea ad: I hate when that happens.

Miniar

I hate it when that happens and I don't have a pair!

Well, most people I know have something sensitive down there.

Absolutely! Doing that immediately post-op would cause most people to black out.

Well just await till you are sensitive down there and up there too.

I loved these ads.  I have not been a fan of Ikea after some stuff I bought there fell apart.  Maybe I should try them again.

I love Ikea.  I've seen the first ad before.  It makes me a little misty eyed everytime I see it.

Regarding Kristi's comment, I think some stuff at Ikea can be sort of hit or miss.  I tend to really like their bookcases, and smaller bits of furniture.  I have some cute tables and things that AREN'T made of only particle board, so those have lasted for quite a long time.
My bed is actually from Ikea, had it for about a year and a half now, and I haven't had any problems with the frame or the mattress.  And we've been abusing the bed for the last few weeks ;)

I have to travel almost 200 miles to get to the nearest IKEA.. now it is even more worth it.

Thanks..

Isn't it sad that they aren't shown in the US?

First off, I must admit, I'm a bit of an ad junkie! I really appreciate a good, clever advertisement! Ikea always seems to add a bit of shock value to all their ads! It seems to work for them though!

I quite like the shocking ads, more shocking the better! (Peta ads anyone? LOL)

Their futon frames are the most worthless and uneccessarily complicated peices of........ok..... deep breath.

Loved the ad!

That was brilliant.  I'm sure IKEA targets their ads to the intended audience, and something is telling me that Spain is just a touch more progressive than the States...

Both of those ads are GREAT. I almost woke my roommates with my laughter at the running-into-the-furniture one XD

I agree with colormyworld that the ads are clever. Goddess knows I enjoy unexpected surprises, hehe..
