Hello all ^^  It's taken me some time to get around to signing up for the site, but I finally have and I am all the better feeling for it.

A little background.  I am a biological male, and after a particularly difficult summer dealing with the results of suppressed emotions, all that stuff, I finally came to terms with myself that I indeed, do not belong as a male, but as a female.  Finally, the relief I needed, hehe.  I decided to join this site after reading some of the forums when I was a lurker, mostly to get in touch with the community, and also to get advice, help, etc.

A bit about myself.  I'm an accounting student, a tailor by hobby, and an artist by life.  I came out to my friends recently about my decision, but have yet to come out to my family.  I am looking into the start of the counciling/hormone/etc process, as well as trying to find a way to eventually break it to my family.

Hope to have a good stay here, and I hope to make a lot of friends ^^

Welcome to  the nut house, or Susan's.

Lot of people here to share life's ups and downs with. I wish you luck in your journey.

Why thank you ^_^  I'm glad to be here, and I'm glad to know there are people who I can share with and not be afraid of criticism or judgment ^^

Well you found the right place but don't expect everyone to agree with you. People do debate here too. And that is a good thing. I wouldn't like a world with all one opinion.

Hi Key :-*

Welcome, lots of advice and fun from lots of different people. I'm in Australia so now you have a perspective from down under. No I don't think I've got that sentence right either

Hi Key,

Welcome! Being trans can be a hard thing to come to terms with, but the first step is admitting it to yourself, so you're already moving forward and that's great. :)

I've been here for a few months now, but there are tons of people who have been here for years, and lots who are brand new too. This group has been incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and caring. In the short time that I've been here, this place has become my second home.

Now that you've introduced yourself, jump in, start posting, and before long you'll feel like you've been here forever. :)
♫ Oh give me a home, where the trans people roam, and the queers and the androgynes play... ♫

Hi Key, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 3100 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out

Blessed Be.

I'm sure you meet lots of friends here and there is a boat load of advice and fun stuff too  :)
The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Thank you all, I feel very welcome here now ^^  Coming to terms that I am a trans was one of the most opening things in my life to be honest, took a huge load off my chest.

Welcome to Susan's, Key.  You're right - the biggest step is coming out to yourself.  You're already coming out to your friends.  As you open up to others you also open up to yourself.

Family can be tough.  It all depends on your situation and your family.  I really believe you need to control the process of coming out, so you will be better off talking to them calmly and earnestly when you are ready and the time is right.  There is no timetable.  Do this at your own pace.

Good luck on this wonderful journey to being who you are.  There will be plenty of bumps and thrills along the way, so hold on tight. :D

Journeys are fun, I can hold on and be patient knowing I'm going to where I'll be happiest.
