Always this "world youngest..."

I asked Dr. Sam Winter from the University of Hong Kong. He is doing alot of research in Thailand, Vietnam etc.

"With regard to transition histories, we found that many participants had transitioned very early in life, beginning to feel different to other males, and identifying as non-male by middle childhood. By adolescence many were  living a transgendered life. Many took hormones, beginning to do so by a mean age of 16.3 years, and several from as early as 10 years.  Many underwent surgeries of various kinds, on average in the twenties, with one undergoing SRS as early as 15 years."
copied from his publication "Thai transgenders in focus: demographics, transitions and identities."

In the countries there are different regulations, when somebody who is transsexual gets hormones, or can go to a surgeon. Kim was recognized as transsexual when she was 8 years old. At the age of 11 years she got hormones, and at the age of 16 years she might be operated with a special approval (the 21st year is standard where this is allowed in Germany).
I find, the earlier can be begun with it if it is unequivocal, the better is it.

No matter what this is still a great story.  Unlike most MTF she was able to prevent what most of us have to correct.  She has a very feminine voice in her music but she still needs a lot of practice I think.  But in any event, she is a success story for sure.

Here is an interview with her on youtube.

Yah seeing her growing up as a girl essentially makes me envious bigtime.

I know thats years of my life I can never get back and yah you got the fact that your bones and pre-puberty growth can be modified correctly before they're permanent.

I realy dont like people they use transsexuality for their benefit like she do.
"oh i am the youngest transsexual in the world (whats a lie)..  and beside i sing"
Get a popstar because of your 'work' not of your exotic.

Dana International for example..  she performed at gay/lesbian/trans clubs in
Tel Aviv before she got famouse. even today she do.

I didnt hear from a Kim Petras performing at the gay pride parade in Cologne what
is about 15km far away from her place and the biggest parade in germany.

And this, i realy dont like.

She is/was (because my guess is she is becoming a has been even as we write this) making a huge mistake, people who get famous for being a 'novelty' are always consigned to that status.  No matter how many great songs she might ever do - doubtful - she will always be 'a transexual' first, a singer (not really) second.  And being a 'second' place singer is to never be a star.

i think that she is absolutely wonderful.

how many positive transsexual examples are there in the media? there's lots of news about us getting killed or movies that make us look like clowns. yet,  here is a girl that is changing the way people think about us, changing it for the better. changing how young trans people are medically treated. being treated soon enough to actually look like a woman.  i dont care if she uses autotune or if she ever played a LGBT festival. everyone uses some form of pitch control these days and she is taking transsexual issues to the people that need it most..... the closed minded that exist outside the trans community.

BRAVO!! KIM PETRAS!!
Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.

Media at all (especially TV) is nothing positive. Most time you can compare them
with an old american Circus from the Wild West.

"attentione attraktione"
"tonight...  we proudly presents...  the man with two heads..."
"aaaand..   the singing boygirl..."

When you read the internet about Kim and komments about her you will find alot
posts like "omg..  you have to be so careful that your girlfriend is not a boy"

So it dosn't change the mind of the People. It's anyhow just another sensation
presented on TV.

You're wrong! The biggest Gay pride is in.... Berlin!!!! And our Mayor ist gay, too. Also in West Germany it was the first Place for a Gay pride.
I'm sad that she or others use the term "transsexual". After the surgery and become a new ID, she isn't transsexual.Maybe a "women/Girl with transsexual past, but not more than that.
I guess, it is a huge money thing made by her producer and manager.

She is going to be a 'transsexual' so long as she does 8 minute interviews and doesn't start talking about music till the 7:12 mark.

the biggest was, is and will be in Cologne (2009 Cologne 700k and Berlin 500k, in 2002 in cologne the biggest in Europe with 1.2 million ppl)..

What else than a transsexual is she? in fact even if you finish the transition, you are transsexual. When you die, and they will dig you out after years, the will find bones of a guy (and maybe some silicone  :P). Or if you watch straight biologic to it, post op mtf are guys with an inverted penis.

I am post op since 13 Years. And even if my ID changed and my birth document say "born as female" i have my transsexual past. Or is it because i didnt wrote "transidentity"?

I know its very provocative, but in fact it is like this. So dont take it so hard as it prolly sounds :)

She is a big deal, sort of, on Utube, which does not translate into big money.  You need hits in the charts, not on your MySpace page to do that.  Seeing how she is not touring, I doubt that she, or her manager, are making very much.
