A San Antonio drag queen has lost her life during an attack on street. The saddest news is that James Lee Whitehead (who performed as Niki Hunter) was accidentally killed by the cop who was trying to save her.

Whitehead was evidently being attacked when her friends flagged down a passing by police officer. Officer William Karman was forced to fire his gun when the alleged attacker, Jesse Ramon, charged at him.
