Is there anyone who hasn't or couldn't have started her transitioning due to some reasons (such as time,school,parents,money etc.) ?? I'm totally unchanged!And I'm looking for a friend who is exactly like me

You may want to read a few posts and get to know some of us. You may find others like you but 'exactly' like you, not sure about that. I don't know your story since you haven't told us anything about yourself.

Hello Andreana and welcome to Susan's. I am also in that limbo place where, due to finances (unemployed for 6 months now), I have not and may not be able to afford much in the way of transitioning for a while. I am going through therapy (a month and a half now) and planning my future, trying to find a job to support myself and my transition, trying to give myself more time to be the woman I have always kept in hiding. But I figure that I've been in hiding/denial for 47 years, I can bear a few more years to become Deanna fully.

Like LordKAT mentioned, you will likely find many of us who have strikingly similar experiences and situations, but exactly like you, not very likely. But it is through our differences that make our experiences so much more rewarding and our likenesses show us we are not alone or 'freaks'.

I hope you find everything you are seeking in your life, especially happiness.

Thank you for the warm welcome Let me explain what I mean by exactly like me.Of course all of your ideas and experinces are valuable for me,I'm not looking for a friend who is the same age or who is from the same country.You know,it's a soul-destroying state to be unable to start any change and only to wait for some years to pass,which is a torture,when you are sure that you're a woman.Therefore I was trying to find a person like that whom I can exchange advice,help and consolation  with.But I value and respect all your friendship for sure.

P.S.=By the way,forgive me for my English if I have any mistakes.I's my second language.

As to mistakes with english, its my only language and I can still screw it up. All forgiven in advance.

Hi Andreana.  I was unchanged for many years but am finally making the leap.  Being unchanged is sometimes a very difficult state and I agree it helps to have someone with whom to commisserate.  It is so frustrating to be stopped, but sometimes our situations require that we put our gender issues on hold.  Other times we can't find which thread to pull on to begin unraveling the knot.

Like others have said, we may be similar but rarely are we exactly the same. 

From what you have said so far, I guess I am a number of years older than you....

...it might be useful if you let us know a little more of what your issues are..without "giving away" anything personal.

As for me, I'm 51 and trying to face this head on. I know what I am, but I don't know how it will end, or when.

So for now....I'm in therapy, but refusing formal HRT, while trying to see if I can re-balance my life..

I'm 20 years old and I live in Turkey.I know transsexuality is hard wherever you are but it's much harder here than U.S.A. and Europe.I have not had started any change so far because of various reasons such as my school,which I attend in another city for some more years and money,which doesn't let me go to the certain places to seek solution (to have some kind of psychological report and to start the H.R.T. etc.).So,I'm waiting and waiting,collecting the information I need from internet and other sources.If there's anything I forgot to mention,please ask me.

I know Istanbul has a fairly well developed TG/TS community, but I fully understand that there are significant cultural differences between the places we live. 

As I said earlier, I'm a fair bit older...but I'm always happy to be a friend...

There are also a number of folk who are attending school or college on this forum and are not in transition yet. At 20 there are still some decisions to be made that can make a difference to your development, so hopefully you will soon find someone closer to your age (and a lot less boring than me) ...

Once you make a couple more posts (you need 15), the forum will let you use the personal message system, and post graphic's etc..

Yep, I'm like that too. Parents and money are mostly my problem.
But I want to transition to male, so I don't know what your situation would exactly feel like.

I see Adrian,actually you know how it feels to be imprisoned.You are male and I'm female but mirror refuses it. Somehow we are the same.

Chrissty,I don't think you're boring or old.I'm pretty sure that your soul is very young.In fact,my soul is old and experienced even though I'm 20 because_you all know_pain makes us older and more experienced.We should be positive anyway.

I can see the frustration here. I am pre-everything FtM. I can't even get a therapist right now. Most of it comes down to living with my parents (who do not support me whatsoever in this matter) and having an insufficient income. I am 21 working freelance by making C.G. models for tv and film. I am close to receiving my B.S. in Media arts and Animation. My mentor is working on getting me an internship and even possibly a job at an animation/game studio. So hopefully this will all change soon.
But don't give up. I know it can be challenging and sometimes you want to start pulling your hair out. But you aren't the only one. There are those that are going through the same struggles. So build up a good community for support. Which I am sure is why you are here.

You're right. It feels like imprisonment.
I don't know if you've ever been through this, but do you have friends (or parents) that mostly say they accept you, yet at times just tell you to be happy with yourself and how you were born?
That's the kind of thing that really gets to me. When it feels like you just have to do what you know is right without anyone backing you up.

Kamren,I hope you will get that job and be able to make the necessary changes.I'm happy for you.

Adrian,there have been some people who thought a change is wrong and if changing their minds is not possible,the only way is to let them go out of your life.At least I tried to do so.And there have been some people who normally wouldn't approve of it but who couldn't comment on it when they see how unhappy and/or determined I am and,there are a few people who really support.I know parents are the only people whom you can't get away from so easily when you are not approved.Do your parents not support you?Or is there nobody who backs you up?Even though everybody opposes you,you know what's right for you to do but I know it's not easy when parents oppose...

I'm also a few months older (Cough 56yrs old) There are a number of girls your age on the forum and I'm sure they will find you. I have to admit I'm jealous I tried to get my parents to understand I was female at thirteen. A long time ago in a different era. Didn't work.

I know that it's a long road but good luck honey. You are now a member of the family, and you have lots of new Aunties to look after you.

I'm happy and pleased to see I'm a member of this family and no jealosuy about age because you know,many years have to pass until all the necessary changes are completed when we consider I'm pre-everything (ditto to a friend above).

Andreana, maybe you should try to see how different everybody is, before focusing on meeting someone exactly like you. This way, you might be happier, because you will learn a lot more.
