Hi all! I am SO happy i found this place! Yay!

I have been on hormones for over a year and a half now and it's brought welcome change. I truly feel so much more "at home" in my body now.

I was not too keen in the past about having SRS partly because:
1. surgery really used to freak me out.
2. I had befriended a post-op woman who is VERY unhappy with her results.

My opinion began to change around the 1yr. on HRT point. I had knee surgery a while before this, so that REALLY helped alleviate my surgery fears. Also I couldn't believe how subtle yet profound the changes to my body/mind/spirit were. I don't know how to describe it without sounding cliche. Anyhow, I befriended several post-op women who were thrilled with their results, and they were also happy to let me see their results up close.(both went to Suporn) I was very impressed. They are both orgasmic too. That was the clincher. I decided to do everything in my power to be able to afford SRS. Yeah, I'm planning to work two jobs to try to save enough in two years time.

I should also mention that if it weren't for the arseholes at the counseling place I was going to, I would have started HRT almost FOUR years ago. They refused to give me the letter, so I quit going for a long time and then had to go back and start all over!! I really didn't want to get the hormones illegally, so I had to play their game. I told them if they denied me again I WAS going to get hormones however I had to. I damn near committed suicide in the interim also! there was no 'attempt', since I have a gun, my attempt would have been a 'success', but I did put the loaded pistol in my mouth and began to squeeze the trigger. Anyhow, I didn't do it, I decided I wanted to live, but more importantly, I wanted to; no I HAD to transition, or die trying!

Well, I have at least a million questions, but mostly my current SRS fears revolve around:
1. Sensation
2. Bladder Control(or loss thereof)
3. Orgasm
4. Appearance

Any advice, criticisms, etc. anyone has please feel free to share. Thanks!

Hey you, hi there  :)

I've heard you can have an epidural and actually watch them operate on your knee. Is that true?

Yeah, i watched them do my knee surgery on a little monitor, it was pretty weird.

Hiya Tank Grrl,

I can't offer up too much from personal experience, other then to say that I have two very close friends, both post-op with Suporn, and they are extremely happy with his work, and they let me see, up close, too, *giggles*.  I was impressed enough, that i booked my surgery for next January with him.   And another of my friends leaves soon for yes, you guessed it, Chonburi, for a date with Dr Suporn.   I can't wait, and out of the 4 issues you posted, which were present in my mind too, my two friends had no problems with any of those 4 items, and frankly, they haven't had issues that would require revisions.  Of course there's never ever guarantees.

But I can relate.   Going into transition, I was decidedly Non-OP.   And then those feelings just gradually changed.   I saw my friends go under the SRS knife, I started researching.   I saw my friends results, and I started projecting myself post-op, and knew that it was just right.  What I was born with, has never functioned correctly, mentally or physically.   And as transition has progressed, the decision to have SRS was so right for me once I learned more about it, and negated the fears in my mind.  There are risks for sure, but the rewards are so great.

Best of luck, welcome to Susan's!

Yeah, Suporn is definitely my first choice too.

The guy I've been sorta seeing seems to have no problem with me being pre-op. but, when we are intimate, as soon as I get aroused, I feel VERY awkward with what I've got down there. It just that the rest of my body looks and feels female, except for that one little bit!
