Did you discover it yourself?

Actually, my nuts were slow to drop in the first place.  It was a concern for my mother.  Several times, over the years, one would pop up on it's own.  The first time, I was rather concerned, wondering what happened to it, but it didn't take much poking around to find it, pop it out, and back again a few times, to make sure there was not something real strange going on.  So, I never had a problem with this element, and now, on hormones almost 3 years, with the shrinkage, there is no discomfort at all.

I answered it was something I had to learn, because the other elements (forming a tube with the empty scrotal sac to prevent the nuts from dropping out) did not occur to me.

I will say, I can tuck for days at a time with no discomfort.  Sit, stand, dance, with no slippage or discomfort.  It feels perfectly natural, and more comfortable than having that junk flopping around.
It's easier to change your sex and gender in Iran, than it is in the United States.  Way easier.

Please read my novel, Dragonfly and the Pack of Three, available on Amazon - and encourage your local library to buy it too! We need realistic portrayals of trans people in literature, for all our sakes

easy and obvious. discovered it myself (although it was totally by accident the first time, and it scared me!)

Very difficult sometimes. I end up using two or three pairs of really small panties to tuck when I do it. I try to avoid it as much as possible as I'm not fulltime.

I've done it for many years.  It was just the way I was most comfortable physically (and psychologically, perhaps).  I even asked my doctor once if I was causing myself injury (no).  He already knew I was a crossdresser.  A few years later, when I asked him for hormones he was hardly surprised. :)

Extremely difficult.
It took me a while to find where they slipped into. I have heard a few people with stronger muscles in that area have trouble or can't. I have big muscled down there and they aren't exactly on the small side.

When I finally did find where, it wasn't the most comfortable thing. Very tight (almost painful) and keeping them there is a challenge. Extra panties, tape, Stephie Gaph... Nothing has yet to be proven effective for longer than 45 about minutes, especially if I am active at all. I can get by with just pushing things down with tight panties in most cases luckily.

I'm still really early but figured the sooner I got used to this and figured it out the better. Considering the trouble, it's a good thing I did.

Well, I don't tuck...
It's too small for that anyway  ;D
But, yes, it's still a bulge down there. Small, but still...
I usually wear girdles in addition to my panties, to flatten the area...

I've noticed over the past few months that the hormones have made it both easier yet unnecessary from a cosmetic point of view. I think it's a combination of the growth in the mons fat pad and the shrinking of the malignancy. However there's something about the pressure from the girdle or support panties that I find reassuring, and even though 'it' has shrunk to no more than loose skin I still feel the need to wear those things.

And honey, I plan to use it.  I'm not getting a twat just to store tumbleweeds, cobwebs and spare change.  Ya know?

You better believe it, preach on sister!

I'm with the minority on this one, it is hard for me to keep 'em up.  Getting there is easy, but they just do not like to stay tucked away.  I have tried many ways but it doesn't work well.  Lots of tape is the only way that I can get it to work for even 30 or 45 minutes.  If I'm dancing, not even 1 minute.

Charlene,
When I asked my doctor about tucking he pointed out that I have a twisted something-or-other on one side of the scrotum and that it could be easily corrected with minor surgery.  He said that way they would both stay in their little caves by themselves.  He didn't do the surgery himself but recommended some kind of specialist (plastic surgeon?).  I wasn't interested because my underwear would keep them in place, so I've forgotten the details.

You might ask your doctor about this.  If you're interested I can give my doctor a call and see if I can get the information from him that he gave me those years ago but I forgot (sorry :P).

If a doc goes in there for anything, I'm leaving with 2 less organs. Best fix for those cords and tucking is removal.  :D

Back in the "old days" I discovered it for myself.. ::)

For years I thought I was weird, before I discovered how common it was in the community. ::)

I have no problem getting them up there.... ;)

.....but I have a problem with stopping their "tall" friend joining them... :o

..I even tried "superglue" once in desperation.. :o :o :o

Tucking everything under, and then using a maxi pad to hold things in place until I could slip on the control top of an old pair of hose (once they would run, I'd cut the legs off and just use the top portion) on to seal the deal.  Sometimes needing two of the control tops, but hey, that helped keep my tummy flat anyway....

It felt perfectly natural, and to be able to sleep on my stomach without anything getting in the way was awesome.

I used light control panties and a mini-pad to keep everything in place. For a while, I didn't tuck the "twig" in between my legs because it acted like a turtle and barely showed but later I just moved what is left of it between my legs and it almost disappeared.  No tape and never had any popping out.  Now post orchi, it is a dream.  Everything is so much smaller and the skin is so much softer. I can wear any panties now but I am so used to a mini-pad that I feel naked without it.  With no bulges, in my underwear, nobody could tell that I wasn't a GG.  Not that I am going to go out and test it...

I was never really well endowed to begin with, so that's probably why I consider it easy. like Dee I worry that this might be a problem when it comes to grs, but in the mean time, it makes my life much easier!

the first time it happened really freaked me out though. I was tucked the way you would see in silence of the lambs since that's the only way that I had ever heard it described and it was always VERY uncomfortable until one time I sat down and everything just sort of popped up into place. I totally paniced and thought I did some major damage or somthing, but then I stood up and everything just fell back to (what was then) normal. since it was an accident, I had no idea how to make it happen again for a few weeks until I finally figured out the method to do it again without causing discomfort. that was at around 14 or 15 I think, but maybe a few years later.

to the girls that get abdominal pain while tucked, I used to as well but found that if I worked on my posture more the pain would go away. YMMV of course.

I don't 'Tuck' but I can understand the reason for it in some cases.

Hey, Naturally - I'd like to hear your reasoning for this.  Tucking for me is kind of pain in the, well - nuts, and I keep thinking: what's the big deal?  If I go out somewhere, how many men or women would actually admit to looking at my crotch anyway?  Of course, this would be assuming that everything else in my image was passable.  It seems like tight jeans kind of keep everything in place and allow for only a small bulge(which, for whatever bizarre reason, I think is kind of cute), but with dresses it's a bit too obvious not to do something about it.  I'm just starting to fully explore dressing and stealthing(if that is a word!), so this post might scream to the world my ignorance, but I'd like to hear the opinions of some of the girls here.  Why tuck if you're in a safe environment(like a LGBT bar, or a house party where you're with friends and they know your history), or if you're "in the wild" but have strength in numbers?

It just feels right. It's not even really necessary anymore and I still do, just for the security I guess. Even though an unexpected erecton is next to impossible through the hrt shield, can you imagine being out in your nicest skirt and getting one, Omigawd. Just don't trust that thing, never will.
